One small battle won in Ohio (Vanity)

Well, I can report a small victory. A guy in my office was an Obama supporter in the primary. He is about 25, single, hates Bush, etc .... After a few conversations the past couple of weeks with him, he came in with his sticker on and a smile on his face and said "I voted for McCain!" I was stunned.

I live in Texas, about as red as it gets, so I have never really felt I needed to vote to get the elected officials I want...

I moved to Texas from California three years ago, partly because that state has nearly become a third world socialist hell.

Living in a place where liberals haven't (yet) destroyed the very fabric of the American way of life is a comfort I can't easily describe.

That being said, my antenna are are permanently raised because of having lived in Cali for most of my life. I'm one of those who is actually sweating bullets, feeling like liberals are breathing down my neck.

I always feel this way around election days.

These sorts of stories will not be unique folks... the voting booth is Gut Check for anyone who is serious about what voting means... This is the only question anyone needs to ask themselves:

Fauxbama and McCain, both have a gun pointed at their heads, they are both offered a choice, do something that will save their lives but harm this nation, or refuse to do it and give up their lives. Every thinking American knows which choice McCain will make, he’s shown he will sacrifice for this great nation, even when he has the options not to.. No one can say with confidence what Fauxbama will do in that situation.

Its really nothing more complicated than that, the voting booth is the gut check, and Fauxbama can’t survive it.

A class of perpetual children. Even my children aren't this childish.

Yeah, my wife and I have 3 kids. The art of persuasion is a must in successful parenting.

Of course, college debate skills don’t hurt either :)

As I get ready to go out and vote, I was thinking the same.

I mean, here we are, with the economy literally on its’ knees by almost any and all measures. Why wouldn’t the electorate wish/vote for some other time, some other set of conditions, any other set of conditions?

Wasn’t it better when anyone could buy a house, no matter what the realities of their income or ability to pay the mortgage? The idea that that condition led us pretty directly into the situation we now find ourselves in...doesn’t matter. Hey, back then, home prices only rose, what’s not to like about that? The messiah will lead us back, the hope he brings all by itself will do that, we don’t need to know the irritating details of his actual plans. Our home will become more valuable, that’s all we care about.

Wasn’t it better for folks when they had more money to spend because they had a job? Well, the rat-bastard McCain sure as heck isn’t going to create any jobs, let’s vote for the guy who promises to shut down coal plants, to tax industry and big oil, think of all the jobs that will come out of that! Let’s vote for the guy who will change his spiel to whatever we want to hear, because it’s so much better to hear positive news! Never mind that he, the chosen one, will take more of our money in taxes, we will accept that outcome because we have more money to pay in taxes; it’s better than where we are now.

And wasn’t it better when all these dark skinned folks didn’t hate us so much and try to kill us? 0bama will talk to them, he will convince them because he’s so smooth, to abandon their hatred of us and we will all be so much more secure, without having to take these awful measures to surveil everything and eavesdrop on all our important conversations.

I for one don’t understand what there is to understand about 0bama. 0bama is a street hustler selling crack, and evidently the entire electorate is so badly in need of a fix, they will sell out their precious freedoms, their livelihoods, anything, just to get that fix, no matter what the cost or what the long term consequences are. I must confess to being dumbfounded about his support.

Just got off the phone with my Dem-Lib brother in NJ. He just couldn’t do it! He couldn’t vote for Obama!!!

McCain was his man! This is the first time I think I have ever seen my brother proud about the decision he made in the voting booth. I’ve been working on him for weeks! I am glad I finally got through!

So Freepers - count another former Obamaniac now on over to our side!!!!

Keep the prayers coming people! It IS working!
