Well, I can report a small victory. A guy in my office was an Obama supporter in the primary. He is about 25, single, hates Bush, etc .... After a few conversations the past couple of weeks with him, he came in with his sticker on and a smile on his face and said "I voted for McCain!" I was stunned.
Hopefully he didn’t just say that so you guys would quit harrassing him.
Excellent dude/dudette.
I talked an undecided Ohio voter into voting for McCain last night.
Its a great feeling.
A good friend of mine I thought was gonna write in Ron Paul - he and his wife at the last minute voted for McCain today. I asked why - “Obama scares the crap out of me”. That’s what’s happening folks - people who usually don’t vote are racing to the polls to stop Obama!
Thanks for your efforts! No matter what happens today, let’s continue to fight for our country. Leftists whine every four years about going to Canada, but never make good. We have nowhere to go.
Pretty sure I just talked an undecided coworker into a McCain vote as well. I’m usually pretty reserved about my political views around the office, but he opened the door and I barged right in.
Bleepin' drive-bys.
good work!
I followed the link. WTF? However, as offensive as it is it only makes our side look better and themselves look like the pigs they are.
CONGRATS! YEA!
THX.
Does he know Bush isn't running?
You probably have kids.
My children are like your co-worker. They sometimes “hate” something or get all excited for emotional reasons. By the way, this is how the MSM operates on people who don’t really analyze what they are being told.
Anywa, If I simply recognize the kid’s distress and concerns, they are back on board and in agreement with the sensible course of action.
Well done!
Count me in the group of infrequent voters that decided I had to vote to oppose Obama. I live in Texas, about as red as it gets, so I have never really felt I needed to vote to get the elected officials I want (All top level positions in government here in Texas are Republican). The last time I voted was in 1992. This year I hope I represent a trend of conservaties returning to vote in HUGE numbers to stop the destruction that Obama would bring.
By the way, McCain choosing Palin certainly helped his cause with me.
I have two relatives that have been hating on Bush for 8 years.
One was totally shocked when the other explained that while he can't stand Bush there was no way in hell he was ever going to vote for Obama
He was completely unable to get his mind around that
What is utterly astounding is the complete and total ignorance or worse, brainwashing of the libs I hear about Obama. There is simply no negative fact they can know or can ignore as far as its’ implications. None. Everything about Obama is tweaked into a positive! If he’s not helping poor people he’s helping us to get off Mideast-based energy! If he’s not developing wind-farms in the Midwest he’s helping us to achieve a better relationship with Iran. The only time he’s not working for a better world is when he’s visting his dying grandmother. The associations with Ayers, Wright, et al, he has apparently atoned for those by apparently jettisoning those folks, which transcends any poor judgement he may have shown by being their associates/ allies for decades.
Hooray!
I drove two family members to the polls here in Ohio who I knew weren’t voting at all, both voted straight (R) down the ticket.
I also converted one Obama supporter over after I told him about Obama’s anti-gun stance.
I also turned 2 20 yr olds over to McCain. I didn’t push anything, I just answered their questions and the told me thats who they were voting for.
Great feeling!
If a man wants to believe something, no amount of evidence or argumentation will change his mind.
It seems that the vast majority of Obama voters are wishful thinkers. Wishful thinking can't survive for very long in the work-a-day world, but it can survive in the hothouse environments of universities, government employment, and government subsidy.
This tells us something about the state of our society that isn't very good.
