Please join the growing number of Christians fasting and praying for our country these next few critical days. "[I]f my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
I do not know what God's will is for our country, he may want to give us Obama as President to give us what we deserve, but I do know that everyone should vote their faith before anything else and that we should pray that God's will be done in these elections. Please hit your knees and pray (fast if you wish).
God please do not give America the leadership she deserves; give her the leadership only your grace can provide. Amen.

Fasting shouldn’t be hard since I feel a little like I’m going to barf now. I’m afraid the feeling might last 4 years.
I did light a candle at church this weekend though. And I will absolutely vote tomorrow, even if I am in a “blue” state.

Just look at how many people "say" they believe in God, yet do not go too church and listen to His word being spoken. No prayer in schools. I can remember as a high school student in the 1960s the morning daily Bible reading and prayer over the school intercom. Then, because of a liberal, it was gone.
I will continue to pray that people come to their senses before they vote. With all the lies, cheating, thugs pushing people around, I expect a mess tomorrow.
Who knows, maybe the Good Lord has decided that America has gone way too far off the path of Righteousness and has decided this is going to be the start of our punishment for a sinful life. If this is so, the next step He has for us will make Obama look like a kid playing in a sand box. It could only be the beginning of the end of this country as punishment for forsaking Him. It is a thought I have had.

I love the prayer that one responded with - GOD GIVE THE UNITED STATES THE LEADER YOUR GRACE WOULD PROVIDE VERSUS THE ONE WE DESERVE, in JESUS NAME AMEN!
I have been fasting one day per week for the outcome of this election. The first time I did it was with the intention of Sarah Palin’s debate. To me that seemed a lost cause, yet after prayer and fasting, she absolutely blew him out of the water.
Seeing how well that worked, I continued to do so for the election’s outcome. That is why I am much more optomisitic than most people around me.
As a side note, I was feeling particularly down a couple of days ago about the confidence the Dems and even some “Republicans” were having regarding an Obama win. I got up early and prayed. I asked God to give me a little something in the way of guidance or comfort. I opened up my Bible to a random page and found the following that stood out to me:
“Tell him, ‘It is not for the man who is buckling his armor to boast as though he were taking it off.’”
-1 Kings 20:11
I don’t claim to be any kind of prophet. Nor do I know if it truly was God speaking. I do know it made me feel better.
I can’t remember an election in which there was a more stark reason for God’s intervention. I pray He does.
It must be an awfully lonely universe for people who demand open season on God's tiny image-bearers. I mean, who can they call upon? Satan has a track-record of breaking his tools after using them, after all ...

Yes God is amazing - I have seen many miracles small and large, yet it has taken till recently to open my eyes to the very real truth that God is in control of everything. No matter what happens tomorrow, God is still in control. Thank you Jesus!
Keep on praying - but remember to give Thanks and Glory to God in everything.
