This is a prayer request on behalf of my wife.
She has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, the same kind that Ted Kennedy had.
She will be operated on next week. She's in for testing right now.
I may or may not be able to get to a computer.

Hello Everybody,
Main point: My wife is in Hospice Care now.
Recall that close to three and one-half years ago I asked for prayers for my wife who had recently been diagnosed with brain cancer. (I won’t repeat all I wrote in my original post or in the updates at posts 103, 131, 164 and 196 which some asked for.)
Last fall she had a MRI which showed a recurrence of the cancer. They offered therapy but said it was unlikely to help and would likely detract from her quality of life for the time she had left.
She elected not to take it.
Some weeks after that we contacted the Hospice folks. We had home health care nursing till then. We have in-home Hospice, she hasn’t had to go to the Hospice facility. I understand some people go and come home and some don’t go at all.
She took a turn for the worse after Christmas. She was able to come to the table for Christmas dinner and into the living room to visit family (all in a wheelchair) but she’s not up to that now.
No one can say how much longer she has (not that anyone ever can for sure). She has good days and bad days, but more of the latter. She’s failing.
But then we didn’t think she would have the time she has had and we are grateful for that time. The last three years seem like forever and at the same time like no time at all. Given the fact of the disease, we don’t have much to complain about. God’s given us the strength to deal with the situation. She’s been home almost the whole time except for a few hospital stays and one moderate nursing home stay. I’ve taken care of her with some help. On the whole she’s been a good patient, a good troop, not faultless but I haven’t been that either. She’s pretty much at peace with the situation and with God.
I seem to want to ramble on but instead I’m going to close now.
