Obama's 'civilian national security force

Here's the real story. I found a source who put Quinn's report on the net:

Barack Obama is basing his plans for this civilian force on something whipped up by Canadian Senator Jacques Hebert, called the “Katimavik“. Katimavik is the Inuit word for “commune”. Hebert, an admitted communist and avowed socialist, was a big supporter of the USSR and communist China as far back as the 60s and 70s. In the late 70s, he came up with the idea for and initiated Katimavik, in an attempt to get rid of Canada’s version of the ROTC, the volunteer military cadets. Hebert called his Katimavik a “people’s peace brigade” (hello, China!).

Hebert’s organization eventually did replace Canada’s cadet programs as the country continued moving to the left. The program meant 2 years of unpaid service in return for a college education paid for by the taxpayers, regardless of grades or criminal history (those gentle Canucks). The “service” rendered took place in bureaucratic jobs, as the young people also took government-provided classes about the ‘proper’ operation of government, systems of government around the world, and other multi-cultural/global citizen type education. Katimavik members were also required to learn two languages other than the ones they already spoke (generally English and French).

Other than government-education, not being paid for work, forcing taxpayers to pay for the education of children not their own (twice over!), and indoctrinating young people into a bureaucratic state of mind while removing a proud, patriotic love of country, not bad. Especially when one recalls that Hitler, Stalin, and Mao installed these sorts of programs too, complete with mandatory enrollment.

When the conservatives regained power in the 80s, Katimavik was ended due to its clear communist heritage. Unfortunately, in 1985 the program was reinstated when the lefties took charge once again.

This is Barack’s inspiration for his “civilian national security force”, though there are some key differences. Barack may have gotten this idea from his avowed Communist mentor and CPUSA member Frank Marshall Davis, who called this sort of thing a “heroic and necessary program for America”.

According to Quinn, Barack’s own youth peace brigade (in addition to healing powers, I suppose) is meant to get youth involved with and in the government, but not in the time-honoured, or at least Founding Fathers intended, American fashion.

First of all, Barack intends it to be mandatory for all Americans. They are to serve two years, without pay, after high school and before going to trade school or college. Of course, that education will be paid for by the American taxpayer, and I presume living expenses during the two years of work will be supplied by We, The People as well.

Though this sort of thing is nowhere supported in the US Constitution, it does get millions to work for the government, without pay no less, and means a yearly expansion of government, bureaucracy, and fatter cloven hooves in Washington. It is also a way to reinstate the draft without saying so, and without paying anyone. Unsurprisingly, the NAACP, civil rights groups, and black liberation ‘churches’ love this plan, as do the Muslim groups.

According to Jim Quinn’s source, it is the Obama’s intention to cut the (paid and very highly skilled) US military by ninety percent. That is not a typo on my part, as difficult to imagine as it is. The budget will be cut by 50% (the other 40, I presume, can pay for those youths in the civilian security force). The youth peace brigade/national security force members will go through boot camp and then service with no pay. As I said Friday, this is clearly a way to undercut support for the military, and as Jim pointed out on the air today, a way to keep socialist, Marxist, and Islamist leaders around the world safe from the butt-kicking arm of the United States.

Jim closed by noting that the world is very excited about the idea of a “neutered America at the hands of Barack Obama”. Doubtless Ahminajihad, Chavez, Kim Jong-Il, communist China, and other assorted tyrants and dictators are thrilled, because with such a hamstrung military and an unpaid “security force” made up of those who are forced to serve regardless of ability, no one will want to go to war with these bastards no matter what they do: nuke Europe, nuke Washington, take out Israel, whatever.

In a nutshell, this means that you and your children would be forced by Barack (and Michelle, because let’s face it, she’s more frightening than Obama, and that is saying a LOT) to “serve your country”, unpaid, all while sitting in classes meant to encourage you to thoughtlessly trust in, depend upon, and support the government, and God only knows what else.

What concerns me is the words “powerful” and “strong”. Those terms denote offensive capabilities and power projection. It also indicates a “balance of power” or force to “check” the US Military. Maybe since we in the military have an oath to the Constitution and not the President he thinks he needs a force to prevent the military from reacting to a socialist political coup.

That sounds extreme, however when patterned against Obama’s and his wife’s other rhetoric, his supporters backgrounds and statements, and the leftist nutroots fear and loathing of the US Military while openly supporting the other side’s (islamofascist, or any dictator’s) position, I have more concerns than ever about Obama.

After hearing about Sen Obama’s speech concerning his desire for a “Civilian National Security Force”, I did more research…. And became even more concerned about what he stated and the outcomes of such an organization. I wrote the following letter to the McCain campaign website, but as I am a conservative, I think they will delete my email unread.

One fact before I get started:

The DoD’s budget includes not only weapons and vehicles, but housing, R&D, procurement, spare parts, retirement, pay, non-appropriated funds (like MWR, family activities, day care, etc). An Obama Civilian Nat Sec Force as well funded as the US Military would not have many of these costs and could spend far more on…. Mission items….

The letter:

“I am an active military member and the following statement from Obama forces me to contact your campaign.

“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

I am VERY concerned with this recent Obama speech about a “Civilian National Security Force” as large, as funded, as POWERFUL as the Constitutionally-bound US Military.

Frankly, this scares the heck out of me for many reasons!!

1. Even IF it is true that he MEANT a true unarmed “civilian” “peace corps”, what is to stop “mission creep” from setting in and their powers growing? What is to stop this force from becoming the Soviet NKVD, Stasi, Brownshirts, Maoist “cultural revolution”, Party spies, thought police, etc? History shows this is the probable outcome of such a group. Actually, it is the outcome of EVERY group constituted as such!!

2. Who or what is this force loyal to? If they are federal employees, they will have to take an oath of service. What will that oath be?

3. What checks and balances would be built into this program? Congressional overwatch? UCMJ like regulations? Or, more likely, nothing?

4. As with Obama’s “Cradle to Graduation” education indoctrination policy, will this civilian Nat Sec force be just a democrat indoctrinated group? Sort of a federally funded ANSWER/Code Pink/ACORN organization?

5. Is the purpose of this proposed group to bypass posse commutates?

Since this is allegedly a “national security force”, what exactly will they be securing? What are their boundaries? What is their ROE? What law enforcement capabilities would they have? More importantly, what reporting requirements would they have?

7. Why can our 800,000+ police, the FBI, the ICE (knowing Obama hates them from recent speeches), and others not do this job? All of these groups are bound to oaths, but not to a man. They are bound to equal treatment under the law of all. They are fully accountable to congress. Oh, wait, I think I answered that question.

8. What “national security objectives” has Obama set that he needs a paramilitary force, loyal to who knows, to achieve??? Considering Obama’s other statements and positions, I shudder to think what he might really mean.

9. Why has the media blacked this out, along with most everything else they black out to ensure Obama is cast in glowing light?

10. Finally, WHAT will the Republican Party respond with? Will you respond at all? Or will you, yet again, leave conservatives at the alter and either remain silent or use a Democrat play and promise something even more stupid?

As you might guess, I am a conservative, not a republican. I left the party when the RNC became the Democrat’s beaten, subservient wife in 2003ish. I left when Republicans not only failed to stand up for themselves in Congress, but actually expanded government and wasteful spending.

I feel I am left with the lesser of two evils. Sen Obama (and his handlers) who are the most vile of Marxists and elitists; or Sen McCain who is, at best, a Democrat in slow motion. Sorry Mr. McCain, but you called people like me who want ILLEGAL immigration stopped and our borders secured racists. You continually alienate conservatives, but, unless we want a racist Marxist like Obama as president, along with this paramilitary force, we have to vote for you or try, again to teach the RNC a lesson and stay home. The latter did not work in 2006 so I doubt the RNC would understand now.

In the end though, Obama’s “Civilian National Security Force” plan demands you question him on it and bring it to national attention. Seeing how you prefer to attack conservatives instead, I doubt you will. I hope you will surprise me and provide a reason to support you instead of just voting against Obama.”

While interesting- this is simply not well-sourced enough to be taken seriously. Quinn may indeed have a “source” but where did all the source’s info come from? This is pretty detailed, beginning with assumptions we can’t verify, i.e. the plan being based on Canadian Jacques Hebert’s plan and/or Frank Marshall Davis plan.

Do not misunderstand- I have no doubt Obama would like to try this or similar- but that his plan is this detailed has to be corroborated by more than one source.
