Um, no. Citizen certainly, if he has a certificate of US citizen born abroad filed with the local embassy, AND he asserts his US citizenship when he reaches majority.

As to Constitutional eligibility? That is the subject of a rather lively debate. Last election cycle McCaskill submitted a bill to establish the eligibility of anyone born to a U.S. citizen who is serving overseas as an active or reserve member of the U.S. armed forces.

Why? Because senator McCain's father was a Navy officer serving in the Canal Zone when McCain was born in Panama (NOT IN THE CANAL ZONE).

The laws was never passed. Whether McCain is eligible is still an open question.

In that case, you must prove at least one of your parents was a US citizen at the time of your birth. Hence the mention of Obama’s mama(if you'll pardon the pun).

Um, no. IF your parents are married, AND one of them is a foreign national, AND you are born in that foreign national's country, you are a citizen of that country, not an American by birth.

If you are a bastard, and your mommy files a certificate of US citizen born abroad with the local embassy, and you assert your citizenship when you turn 18, you can be a US citizen. But never a US president.

I’m convinced that Obama is hiding something. This explains the forged COLB. But consider this.

Let’s assume that he was not born in the USA. He wins the nomination and is elected president. He then releases all birth information, and it comes to light that he is not a natural born citizen. Charges are filed, and counter filed. The democrats now in control of congress block resolutions to unseat Obama.

The legal promise to review his eligibility takes years in the courts. Meanwhile, the guy is president. He makes judicial appointments, spends our money, blocks laws, passes laws etc.

NOW is the time to break this open, or at least soon after he is nominated.

I suspect that Hillary knows this and that’s why she’s stayed in the race and why she’s trying to shake him down to get on the ticket.

Essentially 100% of the black vote, plus essentially 100% of the oh-so-liberal vote, plus the white guilt vote. Add that to the people who would vote for Satan (D) as long as that all important (D) follows the name, and it gives him a bit of an edge.

These days the candidates are so insipid that elections are usually decided by razor thin margins. Any slight edge can be enough.
