A new study by scientists has suggested that zombie attacks might increase if the current projections of global warming are realized. If the earth gets warmer, it means longer springs, summers, and falls, and shorter winters, said John Carpenter-Romero, Ph.D., a zombie-ologist who co-authored the study. And shorter winters means more time for the undead to prey on the populace.
Dr. Harrister, the other co-author, and head of Zombie Robotics at Wayward Robot, Inc., explained that cold winters typically stalled the walking dead. It is well known that zombies cant operate in cold weather. It freezes their brains.
The pair calculated a 32.782412% increase in zombie attacks if CO2 increased to twice its pre-industrial rate. Clearly, this is a very troubling result, said Dr. Harrister, If we dont do something soon, the streets will be filled with blood.
If I lie down on the floor, Wednesday walks around me fluffing her fur and making irritated noises. Shannon licks me and purrs. I’m not sure which is planning to eat me if I don’t get up ...
Kearen huffs at me.
Not sure what that’s all about.
Hi, Ganag!
I’m here! It took my daughter about 90 minutes longer to do my nails than either of us planned, so my entire morning was gone when I got home. I didn’t even have time to eat...
At least your nails didn’t get glued to teh table.
(There’s a story in there, but I wasn’t a part of it, so I don’t know the specifics.)
No, but one edge of her nippers got glued to my nail, and not two minutes later, one of her fingers did. I told her it was obscene and no one would believe me....
LOL
Now that could get messy.
It did. She made my finger bleed!
It’s OK, though. I told her it was a good thing I wasn’t paying for it!
I’m glad you survived! I have to give Vlad a bath now.
I had a cat that did that. Any time someone got up from the sofa, he would jump into the warm spot they left.
I had given him his own chair, but he wanted the ewarmth from one of us.
After about four or five times, I finally picked him up and put him in his own chair. I just caught a glimpse of his eyes before I went back to sit down. Narrow ~~ glowing ~~ green ~~ pupils dilated.
Before I could sit back down on the sofa, he had gotten on the back of the chair, gotten to the wall, and swatted a “dry broom” arrangement that I had packed with me for several years.
By the time I reached him, he was sitting coyly in the chair, cleaning himself.
Yepper. I miss that ol’ guy!
(Of course, it was the next day that I realized he was running a fever. The vet had no clue, but later on, we realized he was one of the first cats in the country to have feline leukemia. He survived it, though!)
Obscene?
Was it her middle finger?
Yay! Bath time for little boys! My son could have lived in the tub.
No. It was mine.
LOL!
:o])
*hug*
Ohh, I’m so sorry to hear about your loss! IMO, cats behave more like a member of the family than most other animals. Although I have one dog, a boxer, who really thinks she is human, but most of the cats I’ve had were all meticulous in their ability to exhibit human characteristics, especially “getting even”.
He went to that big catnip bed in the sky back in the early ‘80’s and I’ve never had a cat his equal.
We got him as a stray kitten...someone had cut his whiskers off. He was an indoor cat (they get killed when allowed outside) and he was hilarious.
It was only after we’d had him neutered that we found out he was a rare breed (Balinese) and we could have gotten $2000 a pop to mate him, even without a pedigree.
But he was my baby. He wighed 23 pounds at his heaviest, so we kept trying to keep his food “rationed.” He’d fight you for a piece of green pepper or raw potato.... ;o]
Mimi.
My previous cat was a bobcat domestic mix named Mimi.
Weighing in at a trim 22 pounds of long furred muscle, this insane creature would knock things off shelving or tables just to watch it fall.
And purr the whole time.
Yowch.
Now that stinks.
Mom glued a friend’s nails to the table.
Like I said, I don’t know the specifics of it.
He may be gone, but it doesn’t sound like he’s really left you...your love for him comes through each statement you make about him. I would say he left an indelible mark in your heart! :)
