---"Appointing strict constructionists judges works for me because I believe social issues belong in my home, my community, my church, and my state not at the Federal level.
Ah, but the social-issue conservatives believe that the President can rule by decree and eliminate abortion, gay marriage, and nullify the 20,000+ existing gun-control laws overnight that preceded Rudy's two-terms as NYC mayor."---
No, we're just not gullible enough to believe that Rudy Giuliani would ever appoint a judge who he thinks might - possibly - overturn law he holds sacrosanct, like Roe vs. Wade or Campaign Finance Reform, or gun restrictions. If you think he'd give us anything to the right of Kennedy, you're a fool.
I think it's downright revealing that you'd support a candidate who thinks Roe vs. Wade is good law, and then expect us to believe he'd nominate judges who'd overturn what he thinks is good law. What the hell kind of nutso stuff is that? Who deliberately and knowingly appoints judges who hold contrary views to oneself on various key and important laws?
There is zero chance - ZERO chance - we'd get a strict constructionist on the Supreme Court (or for that matter the many, many appointments besides SCOTUS) from Rudy Giuliani. None, zip, nada.
His record is that of appointing liberal judges, period.

I have never claimed to be the arbitor of what gets posted.
What I said is true. Most people who post charts usually provide sources from which they base their opinion. Spiff prefers to have people refute the charges ... exactly the opposite.
But I'm not surprised.

"(Just say NO to Rudy "Tootsie" Giuliani-GO Duncan Hunter 08...HI MOM:))" Hi Mom!
Im pro-choice. Im pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. No, I have not supported that, and I dont see my position on that changing, he responded. Source: CNN.com, Inside Politics Dec 2, 1999 http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/Rudy_Giuliani_Abortion.htmANDERSON COOPER 360 DEGREES (November 14, 2006)
RUDY GIULIANI (R), FORMER MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY: I'm pro- choice. I'm pro-gay rights. KING: Giuliani supports a woman's right to an abortion, and back in 1999, he opposed a federal ban on late-term abortions.
GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.
KING: Immigration could be another presidential landmine. Back in 1996, Mayor Giuliani went to federal court to challenge new federal laws requiring the city to inform the federal government about illegal immigrants.
JEFFREY: He took the side of illegal immigrants in New York City against the Republican Congress.
KING: Giuliani opposes same-sex marriage but as mayor, he supported civil unions and extending health and other benefits to gay couples. He also supported the assault weapons ban and other gun control measures opposed by the National Rifle Association.
GIULIANI: I'm in favor of gun control. I'm pro-choice.
Republican Big-Wigs Support Pro-Abortion Event in NY
Pro-abortion Governor George Pataki and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also supports unrestricted abortion, are co-chairs of the 2000 Choice Award Presentation to be held on May 30 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The event is sponsored by the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, a group that is campaigning for the removal of the pro-life plank from the Republican National Platform.

We simply believe that a known gungrabber (he SUED gun companies in a futile effort to hurt them) who was the SOLE candidate of the GOP to take money from NARAL and praise the murder of children is not a good choice for president. Social-issue conservatives' objectives will be met more so under a Giuliani Presidency than a Hillary one.
What he said or done in the past Giuliani is well aware of and will inenvitable move to the right on these issues.
