Yup. A group that wants so much to decry labels sure tries their hardest to segregate the American public by labels. They WANTED to be called Democrats until that term became synonymous with "idiot". Then they wanted to be called LIBERAL until that term became synonymous with "spineless". Now they want to be called PROGRESSIVE until that term becomes synonymous with "treehugger".

So, I will now just refer to them as the Spineless Idiot Treehugger Party. And the members of that Party are Spineless Idiot Treehuggers. Sorry about the labels.

I was always taught that it is indeed the DEMOCRAT party. When they each start delaring that "I am a Democratic" in conversation, I will then call the party as such.
What a bunch of whiney losers, including Jim Webb and that dead raccoon he was wearing on his head.
They didn't even stand when the President said that we must emerge victorious, proving to the world that they REALLY want us to lose.
All while Nancy Pelosi sat there batting her eyelashes incessantly like a damn cyborg.

It's nothing more than yet another demonstration of the powerlessness of the DUmmies.

Those in power currently are a slim majority of regular Democrats on one side, and decent civilized people on the other side; the DUmmies can claim membership in neither group.

But the DUmmies want SO BADLY to "count."

In anything, anything at all.

And so while this is essentially a pretty meaningless semantic issue, the DUmmies make a big deal out of it.....because the DUmmies think they have the power to change it.

This is absolutely true. If I use the word "democrat" or worse the word "liberal" while arguing politics with my very "liberal" sister, I am immediately corrected with the word "progressive". It is so easy to get under her skin by simply using the word "liberal" in a normal conversation.

My wife often comments on this by saying that even the liberals have finally decided that the word "liberal" is a dirty word to most of America. I guess the word "democrat" is now a dirty word too.

Yesterday a liberal asked in a local group if "Anyone plans to watch hitler's speech"? To which I responded..."Don't you think it's a little extreme calling Jim Webb 'hitler'"?

All hell broke loose. They threw fits that I would call an American senator "hitler" and never gave a second thought to the fact that they called the president hitler.

I did eventually recant simply because it's stupid to call any elected American "hitler". I did so to point out the pathetic childish hypocrisy of the fundamentalist left. That's the nice thing about mixed forums, You can shine a light on the hypocrisy in full view of all.

Heads clear? Bwahahahahahaha! There are a number of posters on DU who really like the hallucinogenic drugs such as acid, mescaline and the like. I've read threads dedicated to the types of 'trips' they've taken.
