DUmmie FUnnies 01-24-07 (Democrats Throw Conniption Fit Over "Democrat")
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | January 24, 2006 | DUmmies, KOmmies, and PJ-Comix

Posted on 01/24/2007 5:54:33 AM PST by PJ-Comix

It is sooooo easy to get under the skin of the Democrats. All you have to do is tweak them with the word "Democrat" used as an adjective as in "Democrat Party." President Bush did this last night during his SOTU when referring to the new "DEMOCRAT majority" and today you would have thought he committed the crime of the century. Democrats absolutely can't stand being called Democrats which is precisely the reason why we will continue to call them Democrats. It is FUn to see them throw a conniption fit over a mere word. It's like we can control their nerve endings. You want to see a Democrat suddenly go berserk? Then just say "Democrat." HA! HA! HA! HA! Meanwhile, these same Democrats think it is perfectly okay to call Republicans "Rethugs," "Nazis," or a lot of other pejoratives. There were several DUmmie and KOmmie threads where the Democrats went out of control over this word starting with this THREAD titled, "THAT DAMN BASTARD! 'DEMOCRAT MAJORITY!'" So let us now watch the DUmmies and KOmmies work themselves into a lather over "Democrat" in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, enjoying the spectacle of easily tweaked Democrats, is in the [brackets]:

THAT DAMN BASTARD! "DEMOCRAT MAJORITY!"

[IT'S AN IMPEACHABLE OFFENSE!!! SEND HIM TO THE HAGUE!!!]

that a-hole really gets up my nose. what a low life scumbag

[Your whole week ruined by just one word. Hee! Hee! Hee!]

you may be interested to know that the official text of the speech says "Democratic"

[That will just make the Democrats angrier.]

I was so pissed when John "Boner" used "Democrat party" in introducing Nancy Pelosi. He knew what he was saying and it was for the benefit of his Rethug buddies.

[So it is okay to say "Rethug" but "Democrat" is somehow taboo?]

Cheney sneered when he said it. That was enough to make me want to pound him with Speaker Pelosi's gavel.

[No normal man would think of pounding Pelosi with or without a gavel.]

He's an asshat. "Democrat party" is the equivalent of a rebel yell to the Rethugs.

[And "Rethugs" is the equivalent of a Dean Scream to Democrats. YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHH!]

We've got DUers saying it, now. And they don't even seem to give a shit when corrected.

[LOL! The reason why it is spreading is because it sounds so NATURAL.]

It's an insult, it started long ago during the '50s with Senator Joe McCarthy... it's a derogatory term for our Democratic Party.

[Bad history. It started long before then. And now to see the DUmmies throw more conniption fits over this word in this THREAD with the supremely outraged title of "The Democrat majority!"]

The Democrat majority! ahhhhhhhhhhh

[MY HEAD IS GOING TO EXPLODE! ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!]

That whole Line of B.S. Never ends even when the Cockroaches are under foot. F-ers.

[Or when the RATS are under foot.]

Chris Matthews and Brian Williams talking about that slur in the post-game commentary, and Brian Williams correctly pointing out that using Democrat as an adjective in that way is an insult.

[Democrat Williams is very concerned about this.]

Right when I heard that I knew there would be an uproar on DU. And rightfully so. Even Hoe Scarborough commented on that today saying " I wouldn't want to be called a republic."

[And I wouldn't want to be called an "MSNBC Republican."]

My husband once-upon-a-time said we should just ignore it... well, tonight, he's having none of it. In fact, his preferred name for the enemy camp is a slight twist on my own: the "repugna-CONS."

[DO NOT ATTEMPT TO HANDLE YOUR FEELINGS. WE CONTROL YOUR NERVE ENDINGS! WE CONTROL YOUR TEMPER CENTER! WE CAN MANIPULATE YOU UP OR DOWN! ...And now to read the KOmmie outrage in this THREAD titled, "Enough of this Democrat nonsense."]

Enough of this Democrat nonsense

[Please stop it! STOP!!!]

Time after time after time GOPers refer to the Democratic Party as the Democrat Party. It is not an accident, and I've had enough.

[Thank you for reacting exactly like we want you to.]

From now on until they cease, I'll only refer to the GOP as the Republic Party.

[Sorry. It won't work because it doesn't sound NATURAL like "Democrat Party" does.]

"Democrat" as an adjective sounds like an epithet, and makes people recoil. It has the hard sound of "shit" and similar aggressive terms of anger and condemnation. It is no accident that the whole of the Republican world uses it. Even some newspeople use it as well, a dead giveaway as to where they're coming from.

[The more you complain, the more it will be used. Hee! Hee!]

It's the Democrats' fault. Seriously, they never ever call bullshit on this. They always allow them to get away with it--whether it is on TV talkshows or on C-SPAN, never once have I seen any Democrat correct a right wing thug on this.

[So should conservatives call BS when reporters refer to them as "rightwingers?"]

What's the matter? Are the Pubs giving you heartburn with the Democrat Party bit?

[Democrats are easily tweaked. We control their nerve endings. Hee! Hee!]

Can anyone explain to me why they view it as such an insult? I never knew it was that big of an insult to them. I would love to know why.

Hmm so I guess Hillary will be referred as the Democratic Senator from NY instead of the Democrat Senator from NY.

I just call her "hellb*tch."

Um, OK sure, whatever. I doesn't matter to us adults. Fundamentalist leftists live for their symbolism.

Excellent analogy by that member of the Democrat Party.

Do they just wake up in the morning looking for something to make their butts itch?

If I were to ask someone if they are a Democrat, that would be the correct use of "Democrat". Therefore, they are a part of the Democrat Party. Much like if I were to ask someone if they are a Republican, they would be a part of the Republican Party. Trying to say that they are part of the Democratic Party is just something they want to use as another smokescreen to make people think that they actually believe that Democracy is a good thing. "See, I do believe in Democracy, I belong to the DEMOCRATIC Party. What else do you need to know!"

They try the same thing by calling themselves progressives. What are they progressing toward? The end of a moralistic society? A society where nobody shall be judged? A society in which religion has no impact? Yes to all, but what they tell everyone is that they are progressing to a point where people are all completely open-minded.

Oh, and to the one DUer who is just going to call us all Republics from now on.....ooooooh! Good one. It doesn't even make sense.

You can't call them the Democratic Party since they have cheated and fixed so many elections in the past that the poll results are anything but "Democratic" results in a Democracy.

Can anyone explain to me why they view it as such an insult?

The Republican use of "Democrat" Party came about decades ago, not because "Democrat" is a bad word but rather because "Democratic" was such a good word. Republicans didn't want people to confuse "Democratic" with "democratic," which has positive connotations. "Democrat" can only refer to the political party, but "democratic" can refer to a form of government that our nation supports around the world. So Republicans avoided "Democratic" and said "Democrat."

By it being reduced to a term to refer only to a political party--a party that for the last 35-40 years has been viewed with significant disfavor--the adjective "Democrat" has come to have negative connotations. This is much like what has happened to the term "liberal," and thus now the libs want to be called "progressives."

Notice that over the last couple decades, in most political advertising, Democrats never identify themselves as Democrats, and in their message they want to sound conservative.
