Time for a new FreeRepublic folding@home thread.
Our FreeRepublic team of 358 members comprised primarily of Free Republic members in good standing have banded together to donate their excess CPU cycles to a worthy cause. Via distributed computing, millions of computers around the world, contribute directly to scientific research, in the quest for a greater understanding of diseases such as Alzheimer's, Cancer, and Mad Cow (BSE).
Currently, the team is in 75th place (with 1009 active CPUs - 55,700 completed Work Units and 9.75 million points).
This is an entirely voluntary program, and if you want to learn more, please see the links posted below (or read one of the previous 20 folding threads)
I completed two p1487 1161pt units last weekend and never received credit for one, the logs say that it was successfully sent but I only received credit for the second one, which was sent a day after the first.
That is interesting, I certainly hope I receive credit for that unit.
Maybe. I just had one large unexpected result just now and I'm on track for a +1200 point day.
When I first looked at things this morning I thought I had no chance to break 5000 points for the week. Now I'll make it easily.
Whoo Hoo
first to hit 90k
For those of you not watching me and Uriah have been swaping places for about a month we are at 13 and 14 now thought he would beat me to 90 k but i slipped by.
And now to race on to 100k Good luck Uriah

LOL, I was just poking around the FAHStats forum, and found this post:

Team # 36120
we're #1392 according to F@H website and #1374 on yours

I kinda miss that cute little pink line you used to have on your graphs. You know the one, way down near the bottom. I know it was nothing important, but the color brightened up the graph.
LOL
From where are you pulling the stats for your graphs? I mostly visit Extreme Overclockers and I don't see any point combination that totals over 80,000 for Thursday.
FWIW, DU is still floating around 10,000 ppd and manage to stay in the top 100 team producers. My money is still on Klutz.
You're welcome.
Glad you're up & running again. It seems that a number of FReepers, (including myself), have reported similar problems, mostly in getting new WUs after sending results of finished units. Rebooting usually seems to work.
FAH recently posted a message that some servers had a small bug (after doing a program upgrade) that kept them from accepting finished WUs for a while, but that's been fixed now. That may have been your only problem, and rebooting got you assigned to a different server.
I seem to have solved my problem (of not getting new WUs in a timely manner - at least temporarily), by first shutting down the service, then reconfiguring FAH (using same info), then deleting all the cores that had been downloaded, then rebooting. The service restarted automatically on reboot and downloaded the core needed to finish the current WU, and hasn't had a problem since (or should I say 'yet', LOL).
BTW, welcome to the team, glad to have you aboard.
They had the detailed historical data that I needed when I created the first daily graph and I just stuck with them.
It makes sense now. Extreme Overclockers pulls their stats every three hours starting at midnight (for purposes of counting), and F@H pulls their stats at 1:00 am.
With the re-crediting of WU points they have been doing, EO credited them on one day and F@H the previous day.
I will be glad when the Stanford servers finish chewing through this mess and get back to balanced accreditation of points.
I will also be glad when the p1487 and p1811 work units start moving to someone elses computer. Those things are slow!
4 more days left in the month, and we're on track to bust the
hightest monthly total for the team ever... 1.7 million. 4 more 50Kpoint days will do it.
Also, we're also about to hit the big #69 !!!!!!!!
Sorry I missed this. Just got back after some time off. Looks like you got the help you need, though!
Well can't we just send 'em the fake WUs that DU accuses us of manufacturing?
We're up to #69 now.
BTW, I've been away for some time (vacation) and I'm glad to see the nice progress of the team
Geez, we're still climbing fast, I guess we'll never see Totally In To Science again. I miss seeing those guys (.Y.) on the list...
I'm number 300.
I've borged a few machines for just 2 days before they get reimaged. This should keep me from falling further behind JCEccles.
