Post results of the vote.
Sen. Ensign of NV ......on the way to the airport....he's ok but in hospital
Let them obstruct, it only helps us!
Did you remember to take a shower before returning?
All in good jest. I hurt myself laughing as I typed that.
Please ping me to it when it finally comes out. I've never observed a mass suicide before. :)
Here's another, Bayh
Sounds like a prime candidate for the reeducation camp that Karl Rove is building right now.
What a bunch of drama queens.
"I just hugged my daughter close to my heart, went into the bathroom...."
and what?
Heh heh...the possibilities with that one statement alone are endless.
(puts on fake DUmmie mask and prepares to impersonate a DUmmie)
"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! its the end of are country...the evil rightwing facists haft won! I wepe for my cuntry! F^&% u bushco! youve lost me as a voter Waaa"
You forgot them calling the President a chimp, that it's all a Rove conspiracy, not to mention there's not nearly enough 4-letter words for a DU post!
I bet the DUmmies and Kos Kids blame Diebold for losing this.
Thanks for the update. Praying for a full recovery.
Absolutely. A very timely suggestion. I thought I heard everything when Botox and the swimmer spilled their guts. Not willing to hear more from the party of destruction. Enuff, already. Bye!
She's stumbling through her final comments...lol. What a looser! OK, OK I'm switching back to Fox News NOW!
Exactly-- but they're DUmmies for a reason, and it's certainly not because they're living in a "reality-based" community. LOL.
Dear Friend,
Nothing makes us stronger than the values of equality and justice that Americans throughout our nation's history have fought tirelessly to preserve and advance. Now our commitment to these values is being tested once again: Samuel Alito's nomination to the Supreme Court threatens the fundamental rights and freedoms we cherish, and we must do everything we can to protect them.
It is for this reason that Senator Kerry and I are doing everything we can to keep Samuel Alito off the Supreme Court. The crucial vote will come this afternoon, when Senators vote on whether to end debate and vote on the nomination.
Samuel Alito's troubling record speaks for itself. The Senate Judiciary Committee hearings confirmed our worst fears, and we have to take the strongest possible stand against him.
Americans deserve better. We need Supreme Court Justices whose commitment to protecting our rights and freedoms is beyond dispute -- a Court whose members transcend partisan politics to inspire Americans, not divide us.
The vote by the Senate on a Supreme Court Justice is second only to the vote to send our men and women to war.
I hope you will join me and do everything you can to protect the values that unite us as Americans.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Edward M. Kennedy
P.S. Too often, Americans take our rights for granted -- and that's never been more dangerous. Remind yourself of what's at stake and then make your case to others. End of Teds Email
I suspect the total voting for cloture is higher than it might have been because folks in unsafe seats in Red or red leaning states got a pass from the Dem leadership. Although I find Clinton's and Obama's flip flop to the dark side somewhat strange. Although in Clinton's case it was probably her way of trying to not PO the radical left base of the Dem party for the nomination, and then she'll count on the MSM, and time, to deemphasize the vote later. Obama may have eye on the Vice Presidency, under her Heinous. (Not a nice image that :)).
Some of the DUmmies and Kos Kids have openly wondered whether or not it would be possible nullify ANY Bush judicial appointees if he were impeached, or if they could prove that he "stole" the elections.
No, darn it. I carried the stench over here, I'm very sorry. I've learned my lesson-- perhaps I should restrict myself to only visiting once a week.
