I'd try to explain it to you ... but from what you just wrote here, you're too brainwashed to understand it, so I won't bother.
Margaret Cho is not worth wasting verbiage on. She's an angry, twisted individual who cannot comprehend that just because she's gay, she is not entitled to be famous or respected.
And that distills the argument that most of us have the gay lobby. So someone is gay - that does not entitle them to any special privileges, nor do they have the right to force "acceptance" down the throats of those who religious or moral perspective says such behaviour is wrong. What we are seeing at present is the browbeating of the public, trying to force matters - one can't look at popular culture without seeing some celebration of "gay life", such as it is. Meanwhile, people of faith are demonised, ridiculed and called by the likes of Margaret Cho, intolerant. One wonders where their tolerance is.

How can you possibly identify comments on another web site as coming from "posters at Free Republic"?
The membership of this site is what, approaching 200,000 people? Who says everyone here is "conservative" (Except for DU and the liberal lefties, of course)
Posters get posting privileges here with almost no background check by the mods for their bona fides. Like you, for example?
Welcome to Free Republic. BTW- hate your nic because of the derogative female term. Suggests you don't think much of yourself, either.
Check this out.
Got a feeling inside
Can't explain
It's a certain kind
Can't explain
I feel hot and cold
Can't explain
Way down in my soul, yeah
Can't explain
I said
Can't explain
I'm feelin' good now yeah but
Can't explain
Dizzy in the head and I'm feelin' blue
The things you've said well maybe they're true
I'm gettin' funny dreams again and again
I know what it means but
Can't explain
Think it's love
Try to say it to you
When I feel blue
But I can't explain
Can't explain
Yeah hear what I'm sayin' girl
Can't explain
Dizzy in the head and I'm feelin' mad
The things you've said have got me real mad
I'm gettin' funny dreams again and again
I know what it means but
Can't explain
Think it's love
Try to say it to you
When I feel blue
But I can't explain
Can't explain
Forgive me one more time now
Can't explain
I said I can't explain, yeah
You drive me out of my mind
Yeah I'm the worrying kind, babe
I said I can't explain!
Yes there are a few idiots here- but they are the minority, and are dealt with harshly if they do it on this site.
Go to Democratic Underground, MoveOn.org or any liberal website if you want to see some REAL filth.
If you have any trouble with that, please go to Democratic Underground. They share Cho's distaste for facts and political prejudices. You'll feel quite comfortable, there.
Congressman Billybob
Please cite where you found anti-Cho "hatemail" here.
Oh, I thought you couldn't.
Not a bad effort at trolling, by the way. It required more effort and a higher level of writing skills than the average troll exhibits.
Now head on over to the Dummie playground to brag about your brief stay here.
I have never written hatemail to that fat whiney bitc#.
Welcome to Free Republic. Do you like moose cheese?
Why would anyone waste time, money, energy and synapses writing a letter to an un-funny, never was, never ran, Fag Hag?
When it's so much easier to express opinions about her in a thread?
Target acquired... Whistle up the Viking Kittens!
Jack.
Please explain to us, without being an ignorant fool, why you believe
1. that conservatives advocate limiting the rights of people (give an example please)
2. that pharmacists should be forced to fill orders that violate their conscience or beliefs (do you also believe that doctors should be forced to perform abortions even if they recognize that it is the killing of an innocent human?)
3. that Dubya is limiting choice or freedom (this is one of the most ridiculous arguments made by liberals in decades since Dubya has done MORE to expand freedom and choice than any other president in the last dozen decades)
4. that anyone is making it easier for corporations to harm the environment.
Your biggest problem is that you paid money or at least gave up a couple of hours of valuable time that can never be regained to listen to the hateful and idiotic ranting of an embecile like Ms. Cho. Good luck with your studies. Please take some economics and business courses and try to take them from an instructor that understands free markets.
OK, you're naive. No, you're ignorant, uninformed, or just plain stupid. Margaret Cho is hateful because she is a self-loathing hateful fool. If she is angry, it is because others don't react to her hateful schtick with sympathy but rather with disdain (as she deserves). If she thinks people "are so afraid of giving others equal rights" then she, like you, is delusional. It's so easy to say "you people want to deny others rights", but that doesn't make it a valid statement. The fact is, nobody is trying to deny anybody's rights, but idiots like Cho don't bother with facts.
Someday you will mature and never listen to fools like her.
Did it ever occur to you that the reason Cho gets hate mail is because she practices hate speech?
You made a wise choice in selecting that name. You've banned yourself by refusing to follow the rather limited rules from the outset.
If gays and minorities contribute to the workforce, pay their taxes, and want to enjoy the rights that other Americans (straight whites) do, why shouldn't they be allowed that?
What rights do NON "straight whites" lack that everyone else has? Blacks can't marry? That's NOT the reason for illegitimacy in the black community, if that's what you're thinking. In fact, they don't fit your cozy little racist sterotype, but black people can and do marry. A gay man can't marry? Last I checked he could, Michael Jackson for example. He can't marry another man? Guess what neither can I. Would you support my wish to marry my wife's sister in addition to my wife? Polygamy is a LOT more popular than gays wanting to get married, why don't you support that?
why it's okay for pharmacists to refuse contraceptives base on their own opinions
Why do liberals feel it's okay to force people to do things against their faith, so long as it's in lockstep with liberal dogma?
It doesn't make sense to me, how seemingly intelligent people are so adament about taking a step backward.
And you define forward as what, whatever liberal feel good orthodoxy says it is? When we throw away all that society is based on, we end up with another typical liberal train wreck - Nazi Germany, Mao's China, Stalin's Russia, Pol Pot's Cambodia. How many innocents do you need to murder before you realize your philosophy is not just deeply flawed and running counter to God and human nature, but downright evil.
You are right to ask questions, but somehow, I doubt you'll wait for the answers. Margaret Cho can give you all you'll need.
(If what I just wrote makes you sad or angry,
When you say "I'm a college student who has gotten into politics in the last few years" I think what you're actually saying is that you saw that stupid Michael Moore movie Farenhype 911.
