Hey all, The blackout has been lifted..OOORAH!!! My squad is back on base, after 6 lo-o-o-o-ong days!!! Only a couple "hairy" moments....no one (Seabees or Marines) got hurt!! There's power in prayer, that's for sure!!!
We had a reporter with the Los Angeles Times (Tony Perry) "embedded" with us today...as we completed our (last)mission. Look for the story to come out in the LA Times tomorrow or Thursday!! Imagine that, a reporter imbedded with the Seabees....(lol)
Needless to say, we're worn out.....!!! Hopefully, I'll get a good nights sleep...in "my" rack tonite!!! OOORAH!!! One thing about it, being here really gives you a different perspective on how well off we are back home....God is so good!
They've given us the day off tomorrow, Wednesday to recouperate I defintely need it...this IS a young man's game!!!
Looks like in (about) 30 days some of us will start to "retrograde" back the way we came....to be processed thru the Combat Stress/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder interviews. Then it's on to sunny southern California!!!! :)
How's the song go?...I've done my time I'm coming home....(lol)
Okay....too corny! Sorry! That's what happens when you go days without sleep!!!
I'll write more later!!! Thanks again for all your thoughts, prayers and support!!! Could not do this without you and them!!!!
Take care God Bless Larry

Yes, just haven't done anything yet, which includes taking 30 seconds to THANK YOU.
I apologize, I should have responded immediately.
Thanks, SG..

Larry may think the song is corny, but he's going to be astonished at how many yellow ribbons there are for the troops!
Okay, so they're not tied around the old oak tree -- they're magnetic and they're stuck to cars, and they're not yellow, all of them, some of them are camo, whatever that's about.
But there are more than hundreds ... there are hundreds of thousands!
Thank God for brave men and women who are willing to stand in harm's way between their loved homes and the war's desolation.
