Hey, she wanted to know what your favorite Christmas movies are and since I love movies so much, I'm in. I know there are tons of Christmas movies but I could only think of these as my favorites.

7) The Ref 6) Miracle on 34th Street (original) 5) When Harry Met Sally (not really a Christmas movie but does have some Christmas and New Year's scenes and I like watching it at Christmas time) 4) Christmas Vacation 3) It's a Wonderful Life 2) A Charlie Brown Christmas (not a movie but I love and watch this every year) 1) A Christmas Story (this is a damn fine classic in my opinion)

So what are your favorite holiday flicks?

I love White Christmas.

I always cry for the general (I'm a sap)

My non-traditional Christmas movie: Meet me in St. Louis
I love Judy Garland's rendition of "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas".

I swear, I'm only 30!!

White Christmas by far, but my family loves watching Jingle All the Way. Arnold and Sinbad are hilarious.

Pray for W and Our Troops

I really hate A Christmas Story. In the words of the Grinch(Jim Carey) I loathe entirely that movie. It grates on my nerves worse than Susan Estrich. But enough about me:

  1. It's A Wonderful Life
  2. Scrooged
  3. The Grinch Who Stole Christmas
    both cartoon and movie
And then, for some reason, I have to hear the Rocky Mountain Christmas album by John Denver. Who knew?

Would I be some sort of weirdo if I were to recommend "Die Hard"?

Nope. See post#8.

It is very recent, but I have to say that ELF has all the makings of a holiday classic.

Refresh my memory. "A Christmas Story" is the movie about the boy wanting his "Daisy Red Ryder" B.B. Gun. Right. If that the title, then It is my favorite of all. I'll never forget how the mother dressed the kid for school. So much clothing that he fell down and could not get up. Saw a cartoon recently that reminded me of it. Two small boys were playing and one had on way to much clothing and the kid was saying to the other "My Mother Was Cold Today".

Oh, yes the kid taking the double dare and putting his tongue on the frozen flag pole which required the Fire Department had to rescue him.

Maybe it dates me, but I lived parts of that movie.

The narration, the wacky dad, all the stupid stunts like the tongue on the flagpole - nope, I'm not watching it EVER again.

LMBO!!! That is so funny. It's one of my all time favorites, too.

"Randy lay there like a slug. It was his only defense."

One of my favorite parts is where the mother calls the other boys mother to tell her that Ralphie learned a curse word from him. In the background you just hear, "What did I do, ma?? What did I do??"
