I'm not one to gossip monger...unless it's really compelling and at least likely true (and benefits our side!).

I read on a blog that I frequent that the latest Swift Boat Ad will be the coup de grace. (sorry for the French). It shows Kerry burning an American Flag. I even called the blogger to check the sources. He says it is still a unconfirmed rumor, but if his source is as reliable as it has been - then it's very credible. Also, some say that it's been mentioned on Hannity's radio show? Regardless, I don't KNOW that this is true, but if it is...and I like the chances of it being true, than we can all plan on meeting at Inaguaration Day up in D.C.

Now let's play "Think like a Democrat.

QUESTION #1: A video has surfaced that shows Kerry burning an American flag. Your response will be:

1. "Oh, that's really bad. Kerry should apologize at once! I'm not sure if I can vote for this man."
2. "The video was obviously faked. It's a standard trick of Karl Rove."

QUESTION #2: Uh, oh, a dozen witnesses have come forward and said they remember seeing Kerry burn the flag. Sixty-eight different experts have confirmed that the tape is true. Your response will be:

1. "Guess I was wrong. That tape is real. Kerry needs to apologize right now."
2. "One of those 12 witnesses has a second cousin who knew someone who's wife's brother once met the grandson of a classmate of Karl Rove. That just proves it's all one big conspiracy."

QUESTION #3. John Kerry admits he burned the American flag after seeing the overwhelming evidence. Your response will be:

1. "He made a big mistake."
2. "Why are we continually rehashing old news? It's time to move on."

Something like that could be a setup of greater proportions than the forged Rather memo. You know . . . show a video depicting Kerry burning the American flag . . which will only impress his base . . . then Kerry appears a day or two later with proof it's a phony video and in tears pointing a finger at President Bush . . unless there is absolute PROOF it is (hypothetically) authentic . .

You see, I suspect the Dems tried to do a double agent operation with the Rather memo, supplied it and then accused the Republicans of obtaining it. It didn't work. Maybe this is a reverse double agent operation. Suspect Dems. might furnish video, Swift Vets show it, Dems. sob that it is fake then prove it's fake with the intention of making it appear it has ALL been a Republican operation when it would have been the Dems. on both counts.

His testimony before the congressional commitee is very damaging too. That video made my spouse finally understand why I despise Kerry.

This could very well be the October Surprise. That would explain why the video, assuming there is one, hasn't come out yet. Bush camp asked Dornan to wait and release it right before election? Shawn keeps saying he has a very important interview coming up and he couldn't talk about it. (Adjusting my tin foil hat.)

Okay, what's the William Shatner "Rocket Man" video?

At the 1978 'Science Fiction Awards,' broadcast on independent channels that Fall I think, was a one-shot event hosted by Shatner and some other folks. It was broadcast on Ch 11 in NYC and I remember watching it with my brother and dad (I was 10 years old.)

Anyway about 1/2 way through the show, Elton John's songwriter is introduced and he says a few words, and introduces host William Shatner with an "interpretation" of 'my Rocket Man,' as Bernie said.

Shatner proceeds to 'interpret' Rocket Man in the strangest way, more as the spoken word rather than singing a song. It's really mind blowing and words can't describe it, though those who have seen it will never forget it.

Anyone who wants a video of the 5 minute clip (and who can't find it online, though I am certain it must be online by now), just Freepmail me and I'll be happy to dub it to vhs for you, if you like, just for cost of the tape and postage.

I have dedicated part of my life to spreading the word on this mind blowing 'interpretation' of Rocket Man. :-)

The rumor I heard is something that ties Iraq, Al-qeda, Zacchariah Massoui, Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols, and the whole Oklahoma City bombing in a nice neat package, complete with the assassination of a witness in the Philippines, and Clintonian coverups.
