Too many chances of getting caught.
Perhaps Hillary will "Bug" him for the next debate.

Someone else, maybe even a few someone elses in the media must have seen this. Notice they ALL kept their mouths shut. No wonder FNC wasn't invited.

To myself, and most other right-minded people, there's enough evidence to pursue the notion that Kerry had advance notice of at least some of the questions, and had written and rehearsed 2-minute answers to each. Which explains the ridiculous last minute fuss over the lights. If people were watching the lights and listening to his delivery style...they wouldn't notice that he didn't lay out any plans and his answers were too pat. The lights were a smoke screen.

The notes he expected to make with the pen and paper provided to him. But he never took out the glasses.
Hate to say this everyone...just saw the video on Fox News. He pulled out a pen and pulled the cap off. He wasn't unfolding a piece of paper. I stood righ t up to the tv screen. DRAT.

Perhaps this was the reason that so many commented that a little way into the debate Bush seemed to lose focus and became noticeably irritated with his expressions. Maybe he suddenly realized that Kerry was referring to cheat sheets.

Our guy got whipped. Let's hope he learned a lesson. Look, I don't disagree with your assessment. Sure, Bush was awful, and he has time to rebound.
My point, and I'm sure others would agree, is that this goes to Kerry's character, which is nonexistent. So why not stick him with this? All's fair...

Let's not be so quick to accept cheating! Air Force Cadets are EXPELLED for Cheating on Tests. How is Cheating on a National Presidential Debate Less Serious of a Crime than cheating on the ACT Test or the SAT Test?
Shouldn't this guy be banned from the next 2 debates or at least given a 15 Point Penalty?
EKN!!!!!!
EXPEL KERRY NOW!

So, to me, it's inconclusive. Maybe it's a pen. Maybe it's a piece of paper.
Whatever it was it was ILLEGAL due to the terms of the agreement!

Been around a fair while.
What's your story?
To: mewzilla
No wonder FNC wasn't invited.I kinda/sorta had a bad feeling when I saw the "moderators" selected for the "debates". Anytime only alphabet channels or PBS are involved, you might as well turn off the TV. FNC is too fair and balanced to be allowed to be involved so .....

After they shook hands and walked to the podiums I saw Kerry pull something out of his jacket pocket. At first I thought maybe a pen..but it looked white to me. And then I recalled it was said neither was to use notes and that a specific thpe of paper and pens were to be provided. If the paper and pen was already on the stands there was no need to pull anything out of the pockets..the glasses of water were in place and I would suspect a hankie too..
wish FOX would show this again..or maybe it will be shown again on CSpan..

"All your cheat sheets are belong to us." Someone had to say it.
"Frankly, I'm deeply saddened AND I find the timing of all this to be suspicious. I love President Bush (when it can help me get reelected)."
