I wouldn't be surprised if the answers to the actual questions were on the note cards along with his talking points.
It may have been the listing of debate questions.

Reading glasses? Sure. I suppose everyone uses their reading glasses without putting them on. LOL.
The point is we are never likely to know for sure what it is. Kerry will come up with some explanation that may or may not be true. No one will be able to dispute it. But the fact remains, he broke the rules and has left a bad impression on a whole lot of people.

I had said this on the night of the debate. And so did others. He had the questions before and and had the answers ready at the timeI also made the statement that he had the questions in advance ("we'll get to that question later" sKerry) and was flamed by several people saying I needed to keep my tinfoil hat on my head. I also saw the obvious bias in the questions, attacking W and softballing sKerry with basically "what lies did the President say today" type questions. Well with my tinfoil hat deflecting the rays, I still say it was an odd "debate".

If it comes out everywhere that he took ANYTHING out of his pocket he will be discredited. Period. There is no WAY he can spin this into nothing. This is a very big event.
To: MistyCA
That is an unbeleiveable article, it just rips my gut out to read it.
These people are just scum, self serving scum.
So much for the truth!

It explains the "wink" from Lehrer that some sawAdd to that the fact that Lehrer went straight to sKerry to shake his hand following the debate, I didn't see him running up to THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. No bias, move on. /sarcasm off

having the questions from Lehrer in advance A couple of the questions sounded just like he furnished Lehrer with them in advance.

Me too. Kerry was too slick and quick of the mark.
Who the hell can you trust on TV - apart from FOX?
To: IMRight
My four year old has watched the film and has concluded that it was Kerry's pet mouse. He brought it so he wouldn't be scared and alone.
Hey, I bet this will be a better explaination than the Dems give!!!

This may be why the President was so ticked off.
What could he do without looking petty?
Glad Freepers are giving this story legs.
To: crushelits
Who wouldn't be frustrated if the questions were:
Mr Bush - What did you do wrong?
Mr Kerry - What did Bush do wrong? In a nutshell. You really nailed it. thx

Well, based on the clip shown at the site in the post url, it looks like he took out a pen to me. Of course, who knows what was rolled up inside the pen!

No one will be able to dispute it. Fox may be able to enhance the image to give us a better idea of what it was.
However:
1) He pulls something from his jacket pocket
2) Unfolds it
3) Then makes a criptic remark a couple of minutes later:
"All of these, and especially homeland security, which
we'll talk about a little bit later."

This will be a real test of whether the nearly four years of a decent man as president has instilled enough of a yearning for character so as to make Kerry now totally unelectable.

Do you know where I can get a copy of the questions?
