The crowds in the auditorium had been quieted. Jim Lehrer had spent 15 minutes warning them: say one word, and you die.
Americans by the 10s of millions were glued to their television sets for the first in the long-awaited debates between George W. Bush, Leader of the Free World, and John Frankfurter Kerry, weenie from the People's Republic of Massachusetts. (pass the Heinz, please)
"Hush in the auditorium. The candidates are entering."
Or were they???????
One was, that's for sure. The Leader of the Free World. One George Walker Bush: President of the United States of America, and Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces. He walked onto stage at the proper time...
And he kept on walking...
In fact, the President had to walk nearly all the way across the stage before the newly coiffed, freshly manicured dog from Massachusetts decided he would finally deign to share the stage with "this lowlife...this man who didn't even win any fake medals in Vietnam, afterall."
Yes. President George W. Bush -- Leader of the Free World, and John Kerry's Commander-in-Chief -- was made to walk nearly the full width of that stage in order to meet the BIG dog. The ALPHA dog. And shake his paw.
Kerry may think his little ploy worked. He may think that by doing what he did he subconsiously planted a KERRY is ALPHA, Bush is Beta image in the subconscious minds of all America.
All he succeeded in doing for this blogger is proving yet again what a dirty dog he really is.
And why is always the SAME liberal. I mean, Jim Leher? Who's next? Dan Rather?
All he succeeded in doing for this blogger...
Did you mean Freeper or do you have a blog? Just curious :-)
I will look forward to your coming post.
As you are clearly no novice when it comes to posting you may wish to consider the fact that posting articles or vanities on your sign up day is definitely something which will draw attention to you.
I lurked for a time here before I signed up and then it was even longer before I actually posted. It was quite a while then again as I recall before I actually initiated a thread.
You might have something there:
***Was I the only one who noticed at the end that Terazza appeared drunk or high or sedated?***
You were not alone. I was stunned by the look of her. First, I realized just how much fatter she is than in her still pix. Then I was aghast at the look of drunkeness that she presents. Is she drunk? I don't know, but either way she sure gives that impression. She is NOT First Lady material.
Or, as the dems say, it doesn't matter whether it's true or not, it's the impression one is given. And who wants THAT in the White House?
If you're going to point this out you may as well also state that Kerry held on to President Bush's hand a fraction too long...President Bush arm jerked a bit.
....as if some other Freeper wouldn't have noticed that same thing.
nuts...
I've initiated two threads in the past week and both were disasters. Aim Higher is doing pretty good for his first time out.
Quite all right.
We need to make sure the proper people know we've noticed these little tricks and have President Bush loaded for bear next time.
If this has been mentioned, my apologies...I missed the threads yesterday. Did anybody else hear Chris Matthews say, as Laura and Theresa entered, "Here come the first LADIES!"? I was flabbergasted!
No, it wasn't just you. I'm glad you mentioned it. I saw that too.
Good catch.
The only time that I ever have spent on DU is because of links. I avoid lots of sites. You have become about the 4th person to incite me to take a peek over at that absurd web site.
You know, I actually voted for McGovern in 1972. I turned 18 just in time to register to vote that year, and I was quite a different person in those days.
Over time, I eventually grew up. I fear that others younger than I might never mature. That is a sad thought.
Who cares what those morons think
...and faster than that french guy. Don't fret too much about it.....
In any event, thanks for the link.
Kerry.....late as usual.
Guess theres a reason why I ain't responsible for setting these things up.
