NEVER FORGET
.."TOM McSELFISH =
...Gov. BustaMENCHA"
........was THE Sign to behold at this weekend's California Republican Convention held in Playa Del Rey next to the Los Angeles International Airport. So I did.
...No Convention Endorsement came for California Governor, but a posted Convention Straw Poll showed ARNOLD with nearly ..80%.. of the votes verses a little over ..18%.. for TOM McCLINTOCK.
...No one backed down this weekend, though it was hoped one Candidate for California Governor would, with Recall Election Financier Congressman ISSA watching it all unfold right before his very eyes.

I'm sorry...
Yes. Supporting Arnold sans any conservative issues upon which he can be relied upon to do the right thing is the same as supporting Clinton if he were a Republican.
It's not bullshit, it's hard, it's cold, and it's been staring you in the face since the debate began.
Perhaps you prefer Olympia Snowe? Arianna Huffington? Chaffee? Jeffords? There are a number of liberal Republicans (some are now ex-Republicans) to draw upon when predicting how Arnold will act once in office.
None of them are people with whom you're going want to associate yourself. It's time to realize Arnold is no different from them.

"McClintock 'conservatives' are treating the recall as if it were a primary race where ideology rules.
Well, it isn't and it doesn't.
There will be no second chance in our lifetimes to oust Communism from Kalifornia.
Don't blow it on ideology."
Well..if I had to pick something to blow it on...
To: SONbrad
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
You probably (hopefully) DO support conservative candidates. Candidates upon which we can agree or compromise.
Arnold isn't a conservative candidate and does *nothing* to advance conservatism.
You need a reason which disassociates Arnold's expected policies from those of other liberals or my contention stands!

Explain how Arnold ousts...NAY...even SLOWS THE SLIDE into Communism from Kalifornia?
The problem finding valid arguments for this explanation is why Arnold finds it difficult to get conservative votes.

This is not a conservative issue, it is a picture.
However, if we keep everything else the same and I put Jeanine Garfolo's head over Arnold's you still vote for the most popular Republican candidate?
You want change a liberal Democratic governor who's driving California into bankruptcy for a liberal Republican governor who finishes the job?

I support Arnold because I am not a single issue conservative and realize that we got into this damned liberal hole incrementally and that is how we need to get out of it.
Simplistic people like you think that we either must change everything immediately or allow the liberals to push the populace into armed revolution, to create the power vacuum you and your ilk desire to take over.
Your position and opinions are narrow-minded and lack rational perspective. As such, you and your kind are the only reasons that we cannot lick the liberals and regulate them to the dust bin of history. In many respects, you are worse than liberals...you are traitors to conservatism and worse yet, to the Constitution of the United States of America. Consequently, there is nothing you can say or write that matters at all to me, so stuff your meaningless hot air up where the sun doesn't shine and start your new career as an advertising blimp for the RAT Party.

Why not?
If you can change the face to a different liberal and decide against it, what special charm does the liberalism of Arnold hold?

I don't consider Arnold a liberal. He has socially liberal ideas, so what. California is not electing a social director. California is in big financial trouble. Arnold has the backing and advisors who can fix the mess that California is in. He has the best economic minds on the PLANET.
What has McClintock done in his 22 years of ineffective legistlating? He made sure we got to where we are. We keep being told but his supporters that he is such a powerful man.
If so, why is he in bed with the Indian Casinos, not having any serious fundraisers, and running against a Republican instead of a democrat.
McClintock is nothing but an egomanical fraud.

Hey, I have a great idea. Since you don't have anything intelligent to say and no coherant arguments, why don't you bother someone else. I don't have the time to post to people who can't form an original thought.

These studies [...] assume that voters for Perot would still have voted anyway if Perot were not a candidate."False: "most of the minor party vote, however, would not otherwise have voted." (Niskanen)

Here is an article you all should read with an open mind.It places the blame of the election of Bill Clinton, and the subsequent election of pro-death Supreme Court judges, squarely on the shoulders of......NOT Ross Perot......but Pat Buchanen.
Read it. He makes the claim but provides no evidence.

I've made plenty of arguments and you have not addressed ANY of them. Since you have no argument, all is left for you is to attack me. You blame me for what you yourself do! - the very definition of hypocrisy.
If you want to vote for reprobates, you don't have to justify it - just do it!!
