Our gym teacher would check our backsides to make sure they were wet and that we showered!BTW, is that job open? I think fairness and equal opportunity should be invoked.

If she's a she, meaning she has all the mechanics of a female, her sexual orientation is female. If she likes girls, her sexual preference is lesbian.I beg to differ. Her sex is female, but she orients her sexuality towards females. Of course, we could use "sexual narcissist" but that would be insensitive.

Wrong assumption.
And no, I wouldn't have any problem disrobing with a lesbian in the same locker room. I've changed clothes in a health club locker room and I'm sure there were lesbians in there, although I didn't know which ones they were. In all my years of changing clothes in front of strange females, I never spent my time looking to see who was looking at me anyway.
I'm against the gay rights lobby, but I'm also not for sending a 15 year old girl to the broom closet because the other girls think she's lusting after their bods.
All this brouhaha is only giving fuel to the gay-rights lobby to scream, "Victim! Victim!" anyway. Why brand a scarlet "L" on this teenage girl by ostracizing her? I say don't give her any special attention at all.
Girl #1: I'm a lesbian.
Girl #2: Yeah, whatever. Did you finish your trig homework last night?

.........Perhaps our gay friend shouldn't flaunt her sexual preference during school hours.........
.
That only makes sense to moral people. Being homosexual is now taught as a behavior that is "special" and should be celebrated. We have allowed the continueing decay to rot the souls of our children because of our silence.

I assume you're attracted to men. Quick question: are you attracted to ALL men? As a heterosexual man, I'm always a little baffled by the "I don't want gay men around eyeing me up and down" attitude. As much as I'd like to think otherwise, every women I meet over the course of a day isn't attracted to me. I generally find that the men who harbor that attitude tend to be the type that most women find unattractive, and they flatter themselves greatly by assuming a homosexual male wants by nature to have sex with them.
Now granted, this specific situation is different, and I'm not saying that high school males should be able to dress with high school females because some of them are ugly. Just making a slightly off-topic point.

I don't agree. The lesbian gal would be no different than a boy in the locker room...
Further, the article most likely doesn't tell the whole story. Perhaps the lesbian gal was making openly suggestive comments to the girls in the locker room. Perhaps she was taking time to eye them up and down. That very well would make a teenage girl uncomfortable. It was make me, a middle age woman, uncomfortable.

I disagree with most of you. Homosexuals who behave themselves and respect others are doing no harm by seeing (and even possibly appreciating) the naked naughty parts of their own sex, by being present in places where others are normally unclothed. (Leering, verbally leching, and unwanted physical contact are entirely a different matter.)
Do you want to ban homosexuals from other activities where they can see and admire the bodies of others who are slightly more clothed? The beach? The mall?

And I'm sure your a stud, right? What a putz.

What on earth are you talking about? I made the point that there's a little more to the equation than "lesbian=physical attraction to all females", and that somehow means I think I'm a stud? By all means, explain the thought process...

Read your text. You don't see why I used sarcasm?
To: homeschool mama
Males and females don't look at each other sexually in the same way. A lesbian is still a female.
And you're right; the article doesn't tell the whole story, so I'm not going to assume that the lesbian girl was making suggestive comments to the other girls, just like I'm not going to assume that these girls have been making rude comments to the lesbian and have singled her out to make her life a living hell, as some teenage girls are wont to do sometimes. We don't know, since the article doesn't say.
Let's just work with what limited info the article provides, shall we?
There are 2 lesbians who work in my office. If I had to undress in front of them, I wouldn't bat an eyelash, because they are both friendly women, easy to talk to, and I'm a grownup woman who isn't likely to fall apart under such conditions.

Recall your tender teen years. Would you have had a different reaction?
To: Beelzebubba
Does that mean that if boys behave themselves, they can use the girls locker room too? On your second point, they should be banned from areas where heterosexuals would also be banned.

No, I don't, especially when I made the previous point that I don't labor under the false assumption that every female I encounter is attracted to me, so there's no reason to believe the same of homosexuals. I fail to see how pointing out that not every high schooler is attractive to every member of the opposite sex makes me a "putz". I assume you believed that I was saying that...actually, I have no idea what you assumed I was saying.

Rosie O'Donnell has called for a C5A and will fly in, attempting to see why this girl was called on the carpet.

.......guys getting together to kick the crap out of some homosexual.....
.
We all know that this is the way our forebearers handled problems such as these. We almost universally (at least on the surface) reject these types of solutions. The left has told us what the acceptable boundries are, and continually reenforce our new beliefs by reminding us how evil and backward our ancestors were through their depiction in the modern media. It seems that none of us want to be seen handling problems like our grandfathers much less the founders.

Recall your tender teen years. Would you have had a different reaction? Like I said, I never looked around the locker room to see if someone was looking at me and panting.
You recall your tender teen years and think about how you would react if you were told the other girls didn't want you around in the locker room. The lesbian, misguided female that she is, is still a teenager, too, and can be made to feel just as uncomfortable as any other girl.
