They rejected the proposal for inclusion before the voters due to a a technical mistake made in the wording of the proposal itself. It had nothing to do with what the proposal itself was about, unless you can prove otherwise.

You were implyin that the judges had a different reason for doing it. So either I misunderstood, or you are reversing yourself.

I know I can be guilty of going over the top sometimes, but I can honestly say mine aren't mean-spirited. We screw up big-time when we try to demonize our opposition. On other threads I've found some of the Jack Booted Thugs quite amusing/engaging.

Im not well only on perhaps a relative scale. All Governments are at best neccasary evils but one man is far more likely to rule better than a mob and if hes really bad hes not so hard to get rid off.

Yeah, but getting rid of the guys in power is a lot bloodier with a dictatorship. Are we using the technical democracy vs. republic definition? I'm not proponent of direct democracy, BTW.

Just look at the taxes in the 18th century absolutist states they tended to be very low and there was no welfare state.
