As I said in a previous message, I am willing to cut the vD's some slack on this stuff. If the hair and fingerprint were from cross contamination/prior visit. It would only take one person in LE or CRIME LAB to place the two spots of dna. It dose not have too be all planted or all just by incident prior to the crime.

The part i can't get past is the bug guys all gave a time frame of no earlier than about 9 feb to a no later than 19feb DW was under constant survailence by then.
And the dogs could not find his or her scent where it did not belong.

Application, birth certificate, notarized statement of citizenship + current photo.
Wait a few weeks and get a certified mail package.

Fwiw, it isn't all that difficult to get an expedited passport. Twenty-four hours if need be. You need to pay up to do it, but it happens all the time.

I really don't think there's anything to be found in this issue about the passport. Imo, it's a distraction.

To my was of thinking, why the dogs didn't alert on the MH or the inside DW's house is a far more interesting question.

O.K......I wonder how long they had known about the trip. The Other Harry said you can get a passport in 24 hours. Money did not seem to be a problem for them. I agree the passport picture trip doesn't mean anything.

Passports are much faster now. Last year before we went to New Zealand my husband couldn't find his PP. He filled out the papers had his pictures taken, got his birth certificate. He sat at the Pass Port Office & waited till it was ready. All of the preparation & waiting took up most of the day, but waiting at the PPO was only about a hour. If you mailed it in, I don't know how long it would take.

My last renewal was about 4 years ago. It took a couple of weeks by mail.

If you needed a PP quickly, it might be worth a trip to a city that has a PP office. My husbands was not a renual, it was a brand new PP in an hour. (of course, if there had been a line.....) ;9{
