So many conversations just gated up like we are Cattle and just livestock.
I saw that happen. The OP realized that there was already a thread to the same topic of interest. But still there were conversations and sentiments being also shared in this second post too and it is rude to just shut it off like that. Doesn't anyone know how to just "forward" any new comments to the older thread? It is not rocket science and only take minimal effort... I can teach you how... That way those conversations are not lost to the wind...
Does anyone care about the members here and have customer appreciation? Or is the arrogance so great that we should feel lucky you even allow us to participate here? If it is the later you are wrong and that is a mistaken perspective. That arrogance will be the downfall of this domain in the end.

A locked thread has over 200 replies, and that number continues to grow. How is that possible if the thread is locked?
There is a conundrum in tolerance.
Tolerance where unjustified is a vice and a weakness, especially when tolerance is exploited as a weakness in the way that both the Left and Islam do.
But tolerance where justified as a real, humane mechanism, when the issue is in doubt, is a genuine good. I am willing occasionally to make that mistake and step on my own crank in the process.
We as Americans are viewed by much of the world as naive, and they view us that way as an insult, even if they don't respect us, but fear us.
I can live with that, because I can live with the contempt that the labelers of naivety arrogantly paste on me. And I can live with that because I have to live my life as I see fit, not the way they see fit.
In the end, there is in life one thing you have full and absolute control over-only one, single thing: how you act. Everything else is out of your hands, but you can control how you react and act.
As you said in your post, in the eyes of God, all of this on this Earth is small potatoes. So I am trying to live my life so that I can stand up in the eyes of He who created me. If I put my trust in Him, I know he will reward my faith, and I can live with any action I take.
If that means standing up for myself, my family, my countrymen, or the country itself, I pray to God that through Christ, I will have the courage and the strength to do so if that becomes necessary. I am an old guy now, but I may be called on in ways I don't foresee.
I pray that I can stand up when that call comes, if it comes, whatever it may be. And who can tell what that call may be. My fervent hope is that I can be worthy of whatever charge that is.
You can probably tell, I love this country. I love it for the opportunity it has given me to fulfill my potential. I love it because I was able to become a man on its dime in the military, at a time when I needed direction and as it turned out, was ready for it. I love it because I see it as a force for good in this world, founded sincerely on the principles outlined to us by Christ in the Bible.
We aren't evil like the Leftists and the Communists.
We make many mistakes, we aren't perfect. We are flawed, we succumb to temptation and sin, but we do try to pick ourselves up and do better next time.
This is a country worth fighting for. How many Leftists or Communists can say that?
And if that means we have to fight to preserve a forum like this, which is a microcosm of America itself, then we should do it.
Because it is worth it.
That made me cry long after I thought the tear ducts were dried up. We share the same love for our nation and respect for those who gave all to preserve it, but more importantly strive to refrain from hating those trying to tear it down - because stooping to their level acknowledges defeat doing so.
God granted me amazing durability and strength but the sheer determination of evil taxes my resources each and every day. I turn on the news and thank God for the scraps of goodness that manage to float on the never-ending waves of destruction. Thanks for being a good patriot out there fighting entropy despite aging. I’m going back to Vanderbilt tomorrow to see if the cancer’s returned, knowing it probably has but my stubborn will and God’s grace has kept it in check. Eight years extra, boo yah! All good.
Fortunately He told me never fear right before the first operation. That’s the greatest insurance policy ever and it doesn’t cost a mortal dime. Stay good!

A simple "mouseover" to identify the domain which is linked shows this as well as "right click" and "copy link address" which one can paste to a notepad or other text utility.
A whois query shows that domain -- myfrtest.com -- was registered in 2017, from Launchpad.com Inc..
That registrar link now leads past the name "Launchpad" to "HostGator.com." A Houston-based company.

Courage does yield benefits, and surrender also yields weaknesses, both in cancer and in politics.
Courage gives you a positive mindset in both, and a positive mindset has value that goes far beyond keeping a stiff upper lip, and surrender or fear...well, those engender the opposite. They invite depression and encourage invasion of pathogens both physical and mental.
While those two options (Fight or Surrender) are available in both medicine and politics, the effects in medicine are sometimes out of your control, but...the effects in politics are NOT out of your control.
People would do well to remember that.

Not in the least. I am aghast that it has taken 25 years until the general public seems to have broken through the solid walls of gaslighting from the legacy media and stonewalling from various administrations until 45 & 47. Even he takes more chances than I'm comfortable with.
Completely agree. Both sides are a mess, and the U.S. taxpayers should not bear the brunt.
