Coincidence. I just made my classical music loving relatives from New Jersey watch the Youtube video of the NJ concert of this great song.
In another life, used to hang out at John Lee Hooker’s house—he told me, and I think more tongue in cheek, is that dfamn George would come over to the house and rummage through that box of music, (he said, pointing to a box along the wall of the living room), and steal his music to play. Now we know George was a modern day clone of JLH, so John Lee must have loved it that his music was still being spread around. (this was in the mid-80s)
I got his CD and it’s one of my road/flying CD ... I blast it over the PA like when taking off .... passengers love it, especially the one: Going Back To Wentsville ....(sp)

He played a small dive bar near us around that time frame, there couldn’t have been more than 100 people in the place. Brought the house down.
One bourbon, one scotch, one beer… Damn, sounds like a normal day at my house.
Old Georgie is not the best guitar player I’ve ever seen, but he can rock.

Maybe they liked what they heard, or maybe they were just enduring it, until they could do a quick YouTube search for
something else.
Perhaps hearing Issac Stern on violin with Alexander Zakin on piano accompaniment performing C.P.E. Bach will do the trick.
**One Bourbon is a great song, by the way. Perfect for performing live in a big, well lit, crowded Bar.
Did George ever write his own song?
I can believe that. His Madison Blues with Albert Collins is one of my favorites.

Turns out one of them was born and grew up in Delaware and saw the Delaware Destroyers in concert many times.

Go to youtube, and watch the 7 minute rendition of Let The Good Times Roll, performed at The Capitol Theatre in 1984.
It encapsulates the essence of George Thorogood and The Destroyers.
