A respected think tank study has underscored America's massive demographic shift since the start of the pandemic, with millions more Spanish-speaking residents as the white population tumbled.
The Hispanic population grew by 3.2 million from April 2020 to July 2023, as the number of white people fell by 2.1 million — the result of immigration and birth and death rates, says a Brookings Institution study.
That means Hispanics accounted for 91 percent of US population growth in those three years.
At the same time, the black, Asian, and mixed-race populations grew by hundreds of thousands of people each, while the number of Native Americans expanded by a smaller 23,000.
William Frey says a 'diversity explosion' is reshaping the nation.
Frey urged policymakers to ensure schools, colleges and businesses were ready for these shifts.
While he welcomed the changes, they are a concern for some white and other Americans, who worry that the country is losing its character and becoming too diverse.
In social media responses to the study, critics said the US was 'quietly becoming a third-world country' and that the changes were due to 'mass illegal immigration' across the southern border.
Some, including tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, say Democrats want people flows from South America as part of a 'great replacement' of whites to secure election victories over the coming decades.
Illegal immigration is among the top concerns of voters in the 2024 election contest between Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris and anti-immigrant Republican former president Donald Trump.
Trump has railed against criminal Hispanic migrants and vowed to deport millions of 'illegals' if elected in November.
Harris, as President Joe Biden's 'border czar,' famously urged Central American migrants to 'not come' to the US.
But the administration seeks to expand the number of people who can apply for citizenship

Why do you assume oppression for white people?
I realize this is anecdotal on my part, however, where I travel I see large numbers of 'white' families with 4-5 children regularly. I'm sorry but I do not believe this 'study'.

What is more likely happening, given the political and social climate of the last couple decades, is more people are deciding it's none of the government's damned business what 'race' they are or they are identifying as 'new minorites' as Frey even refers to them, or they are simply not participating in these studies. 'Hispanic' didn't even exist until we made it up. Before then they were considered (and frankly still are) Caucasians of European descent.
The plain truth is all of us are mutts, all of this 'demographic study' garbage is nothing more than attempts to divide our country. You are either an American or you are not. Nothing else that matters.

i think people don’t have kids because they want a luxurious lifestyle. it goes back to the Roman days that wealthy societies have trouble keeping up their birth rate. And it is purely a mental issue!

The problem is not that today’s immigrants, both legal and illegal, are more ethnically diverse than they have been historially.
The problem is that the U.S. system has always been predicated on acceptance of assimilation and equality under the law, with equal standards equally applied.
Starting in the 1960’s, America’s elites began to turn against the ideal of assimilation. This is now in the twilight zone endgame of tribal fetishism. The only glue holding the democrat party today is a hatred of the old American ideal and, more broadly, of Christianity and the underlying principles of western civilization. The Marxist left thinks it has found the nation’s Achilles heel, and they are importing tribal armies whose common cause is looting the carcass of what used to be a nation.
The fun will really begin when white America has finally been gutted and the successor populations turn on each other. Jews are now being driven out of the left coalition. Asians will be next. Hispanics are on track to be the majority population by the end of the century, and I don’t think they will consent to be Mau-Maued by the black grifters.
We now have the last generation of predominately white leadership in the democrat party. The mask will come off.
There are eloquent voices in all ethnic groups pleading for a stop to this insanity. They need to find each other and unite. And someone needs to start speaking up for the next generation. The left has turned against marriage and the family, and it is increasingly anti-children. Young people need to understand that they are being consigned to a lifetime of tax slavery to pay the looters today.

When you don’t want to have children but want marijuana and abortions, this is what you end up with. Just look at the results of the ballot initiatives in this country, especially in a state like Ohio. What’s most disturbing is the elite and political classes using race to divide and conquer.
I knew that just from my Walmart. Nobody speaks English there, not at all, not customers, not employees.
