Potatoes are as much “vegetables” as carrots, radishes, turnips or yams. Why the reclassification?

As far as that goes, if dug up and the dirt is wiped off, potatoes may be eaten much like an apple. But nobody, NOBODY, will ever mistake a potato for an apple.

If they are going to change the classification, it makes me think that somehow, this change will decrease the production of potatoes. I’m sure there are rules that will govern this, and these rules do not benefit the American people. This may seem a trivial action, but there has to be some harm or evil intended toward the people.
