British police are investigating the alleged gang rape of a girl’s avatar in a virtual reality game, in what is believed to be the first probe of its kind involving the metaverse.
The alleged victim, identified only as a girl under 16, was wearing a virtual reality headset in an immersive game when her avatar, an animated representation of her, was raped by those of several men, the Daily Mail first reported. Although the accuser did not sustain any physical injuries, she may have suffered trauma similar to someone who’d been raped in real life, police sources told the outlet.
“There is an emotional and psychological impact on the victim that is longer-term than any physical injuries,” a senior officer familiar with the case told the outlet. Still, UK authorities fear it might be impossible to prosecute under existing laws, which define sexual assault as physical touching in a sexual manner without consent.

Now I`m working at the K-Mart
`Cuz I got hit in the head with a lawm dart..
I can’t remember whose tune that was.
Not sure about the UK but in USA there are pedo stings all the time with no “real” victim. But seems odd since the UK police ignore muslim rape gangs.
All the girl had to do was take that thing off her head and shut the game off.
this world is so sick....this is the thanks we give to God for creating us and this beautiful world....
Looks like the S. border of Meta is wide open and the “migrants” have arrived.
SS1
lol
It's very weird to do it in a virtual reality, though, where the victim cannot actually feel what's happening, but neither can the perps. They couldn't feel the sensations, so clearly the fantasy isn't even about the sexual sensations, it's about terrifying and humiliating someone. And knowing someone is attacking you just because the act of horrifying you is what's actually giving the attacker pleasure is just so disturbing to anyone's view of human nature. It's a up-close look at pure sadism.
How did they even know it was female or did it even matter? Looks like our brave new world is ending up not so brave.
Agree ..kind of asinine at best. Virtual rape... Next will be the dream police. Guess Cheap Trick was forward thinking.
Chris Hansen's entire career was built around that. They apparently caught a lot of real creeps. That's a "good thing".
However ... NONE of them were caught trying to engage in sex (or buggery) with an actual minor. The bait actors were all adults. Criminal prosecution of them comes off as a bit unethical. Chris Hansen's original show ended when the pedo they caught turned out to be an assistant district attorney ...
Operating the computer with one hand and ...
well ...
do I really have to be graphic?
I didn’t know that’s why the show suddenly ended.
Just. Wow.
avatars got junk???
The ADA killed himself when he was raided.
Right ... I had forgotten that bit.
LOL! I don't know, man, most of the games I've seen (and rapes I've heard of) require both hands, but maybe Gen Z is more skilled than they look.
Yeah. Every time I think humanity can't possibly horrify and disgust me any more than they already have, some jagoff pops up and says "challenge accepted!"

From stats I have seen, 35% of the Internets bandwidth is devoted to porn viewing and about 15% is devoted to online gaming. Safe to say, lots of folks are rising to your challenge. I think the next big thing is going to be AI generated perversity that takes things to a whole new level of degeneracy. Gone are the days when people drove to the back parking lot of the adult video store, stayed in the car until they were sure no one was looking and then made a mad dash for the door when the coast was clear. We literally are a changed society.
