The strategy can be to lay out a whole bunch of things (build the wall, build pipelines, etc) and have the Dems put up roadblocks. Or..they can compromise on important things to show they are not the crazy kids the Dems say they are.

Maybe, I postulate, that consideration is due in offering ourselves to best join them and work within circumventing as it may be rather than support a party that outwardly doesn’t appear to want to win RIGHT. But I postulate only. Bring back the old Democrat Party?

I’d say you are exactly right. We can put nothing past them.
Most of the time, anyway. Herodotus was told by priests in Egypt that the sun had twice risen from the place where it currently sets (Book 2, chapter 142).
