New York gubernatorial hopeful Andrew Giuliani said he was going to be the last guy in a long time 'to look under his baby daughter's hood' and 'she's gonna stay a woman' at a campaigning rally in Long Island.
The son of embattled Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani made the comments, branded distasteful and transphobic on social media, at an event over the weekend organized by the far-right group Long Island Loud Majority (LILM).
'So I have changed the diapers. I have looked under the hood. She's a woman. I'm gonna be the last guy in a long time that looks under the hood right there.
'But guess what? She was born a woman and she's gonna stay a woman, it's that simple,' he said outside the LIRR Bellmore train station.
Giuliani added that his four-month-old daughter was not allowed to date 'until she is 25.'
The 36-year-old, who served as a special assistant for Trump, was in Long Island making yet another bid for the state's highest office, with school-board groups in attendance to the event.
His comments come at a time of extreme political turmoil in the US over polarizing commentary and policies on transgender issues in schools.
Giuliani and his Lithuanian business executive wife Zivilė Rezgytė welcomed daughter Grace Jusefa Giuliani in November after the couple wed in 2017.
'Grace Juzefa Giuliani gave Zivile and I the greatest joy we could ever imagine when she was born to us yesterday,' the new father tweeted in November.

I would have said, “I’ve changed her diaper”. Not “I looked under the hood”, since hood is an anatomical part under which a father should not look.
Should have said,
I have a beautiful daughter, I know cause I have changed her diapers more times than I can count.
Unlike the current supreme court nominee, and even though I am not an expert I remember being taught basic biology in high school.
When I am elected I am going to see that basic skills like this are taught again.
