Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

... they will post the same ole crap over and over.

My wife has quit complaining about my old jokes I tell the waitresses.

It finally sank in to her what I'd been saying; "I don't need any new material, if I keep getting new audiences."

You, however, evidently have not LEARNED the lessons about MORMONism; from SLC's own writings that we keep posting.

Not to worry, even as you TRY to avoid reading the TRUTH; a little bit rubs off on you each time.

Be honest, 93nina.

Mr. RomneyCARE CREATED gay marriage HIMSELF. ALONE.

Note Romney’s use of improper executive authority. [The Romney Way™]

"Experts: Credit Romney for homosexual marriage"
"What he (Governor Bishop Mitt Romney) did was exercise illegal legislative authority'

"While former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney claims he did everything possible to throttle homosexual marriage in his state – his campaign now saying he took "every conceivable step within the law to defend traditional marriage" – several constitutional experts say that just isn't so.

"What Romney did [was] he exercised illegal legislative authority," Herb Titus said of the governor's actions after the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court released its opinion in the Goodridge case in 2003. "He was bound by what? There was no order. There wasn't even any order to the Department of Public Health to do anything."

Titus, a Harvard law graduate, was founding dean of Pat Robertson's Regent University Law School. He also worked with former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, ...

Romney's aides have told WND that after four of the seven court members reinterpreted the definition of marriage, he believed he had no choice but to direct clerks and others to change state marriage forms and begin registering same-sex couples.

Some opponents contend that with those actions, Romney did no more or less than create the first homosexual marriages recognized in the nation. And Titus agrees."

"....But the court's decision conflicts with the constitutional philosophy of three co-equal branches of government: executive, legislative and judicial, Titus said. It also violates with the Massachusetts Constitution, which states: "The power of suspending the laws, or (suspending) the execution of the laws, ought never to be exercised but by the legislature..."

And it cannot even be derived from the opinion itself, asserts the pro-family activist group Mass Resistance, which says the decision did four things:

* First, it acknowledged that the current law does not permit same-sex marriage.

"The only reasonable explanation is that the Legislature did not intend that same-sex couples be licensed to marry. We conclude, as did the judge, that G.L. c. 207 may not be construed to permit same-sex couples to marry."

* Second, it said it is NOT striking down the marriage laws (among other things, the Massachusetts Constitution forbids a court to change laws)

"Here, no one argues that striking down the marriage laws is an appropriate form of relief."

* Third, it declared that not allowing same-sex marriages is a violation of the Massachusetts Constitution.

"We declare that barring an individual from the protections, benefits, and obligations of civil marriage solely because that person would marry a person of the same sex violates the Massachusetts Constitution."

* And fourth, given that the court is not changing any laws, the SJC gave the Legislature 180 days to "take such action as it may deem appropriate."

"We vacate the summary judgment for the department. We remand this case to the Superior Court for entry of judgment consistent with this opinion. Entry of judgment shall be stayed for 180 days to permit the Legislature to take such action as it may deem appropriate in light of this opinion."

After the Legislature did nothing during the 180 days, Romney then took action "on his own," the group said.

"Gov. Romney's legal counsel issued a directive to the Justices of the Peace that they must perform same-sex marriages when requested or 'face personal liability' or be fired," the group said."

“The Romney-ites have been spreading their “huff and their puff and we’ll blow the White House down” hubris too broadly...they should focus on the swing states — and stop with the (sometimes) nastiness aimed at voters and potential voters that won’t matter in the electoral vote scheme of things.”

I don’t see Romney as much of an improvement over Obama. I don’t think either should be POTUS. I think people should vote third party to send a message that neighter are OK. I don’t care if it is a swing state, red state, or blue state. We all agree that Obama is a poor/dangerous POTUS and doesn’t deserve reelection. However, like Jim Robinson, I cannot support Romney as an alternative to Obama. I don’t want either. At least, by voting third party, it “may” (if enough will help) deny either man more than 40% of the vote. They cannot claim a mandate in that case.

The primary process is horribly flawed. There is no way Romney could have won if there was some form of runoff elections in the process. However, Romney ran a dirty campaign and spent more time attacking conservatives than he did Obama. Plus, he just plain bought the election with the backing of the GOP establishment. I cannot back such a system anymore. So, I will not vote for Romney. And I don’t think any real (full conservative - social, defense, & fiscal) should give him and the GOPe their backing.

Well give us a “conservative” to run against Obama, and he/she will get my vote. Romney is NOT a conservative. He won’t be much better than the Obamination.

I don’t know what authority you believe you have but you are so far off base you can’t even see it.

What vision could you possibly have that makes what you say of any value?

Who is man to judge ANYTHING?

God is the ultimate judge. Assuming you are Christian, did Jesus hate the tax collector? Did Jesus hate the prostitute? Did Jesus hate the Jews?

Your hate comes from Satan, pal! You probably would have enjoyed living during the religious persecutions of the dark ages killing heretics and such. You better get a better handle on Dan 4:17.

What else can religious freedom mean other than the government cannot force it upon you and you are free to pursue whatever religion you want or none at all.

All religion is based on faith and NEVER fact. You are entitled to your views and they are no better or worse than the views of any other person of faith (or no faith).

If you believe otherwise, you are a bigot!
