The Officer corp may be loyal to the government, but the average groundpounder wont be so loyal when ordered to arrest fellow citizens. You may find a few nazi-type soldiers who will do so without thinking, but the vast majority wont.
That is why Obama wants his own Waffen SS type units, Separated from the military, they will be loyal to the creator Obama. They will be recruited from gangs, ACORN, prisons, given a uniform and some power to take from those they feel like. Once given the taste of authority, they will become empowered and never want to give it up. That is the real threat. Imagine waking up one night and finding some thugs you once called the police on breaking in your doors, terrorizing loved one and hauling you to prison of some camp.
A while ago if you would have told me this was possible, I would dismiss you as a crackpot. Now we all feel the threat from this president and his cronies is a real one.

“with a nice early pension waiting for them....”

Only a few who would be real patriots would side with the civilians. ‘

Face it they are now bought and paid for. The ones commanded by academy grads are the ones to fear. The ROTC trained are still civilians at heart. The academy pukes want their stars and bars and their comfy retirements.

Just my thoughts.

I see the “Civilian National Security Forces” catching an epidemic of lead poisoning in cases like that. How do you confiscate half a billion guns?

You cant unless there is an balls to the walls war. The CNSF would have a easier time in the cities, but when they get into rural areas, they would be slaughtered.
The scary thing is that we are even talking about a CNSF and taking guns. This president and his minions scare the batcrap out of me.

then he’ll just use northern troops against the south and vice versa, and heartland troops against the coasties, and vice versa. plus he has UAVs, an air force, and tear gas. Lead can’t stand up to that!

Tell that to the islamic guys fighting our men in Aghanistan. Technology only carries so far.
As for using troopers from different parts of the USA, I dont know if that would work either. It wouldnt be like the Civil War because there was clearly defined borders. Americans are still Americans, no matter what part of the USA. It isnt in our make-up to fight each others. The CW was another matter because they didnt have the media the internet. We are all connected. And we are all know what is right and wrong.
That is why Obama would have to use, how can I say this, rejects from society. Ex Cons, muslims, Communists etc etc to make his reliable army. They feel excluded from America so it would be easy for them to shoot regular people.
Of course I may be wrong. In that case I will join you on the barracade and you can tell me “ I told you so”.

You need to get away from the movies, and get tuned up in what is really happening in our nation.. read between the lines, and pages. Why did he endorse Interpol, and why does
he want to rid us of our weapons or guns...better remember WWII, and the concentration camps....reality brother.

My firm opinion is that the US Military (perhaps with a few exceptions) will stand with the Amercian people. I cannot fathom that they would turn against their fellow citizens. And especially since they must be fully aware of the disrespect Obama has for the military now. My fear is that folks will wait too long. As Obama is doing just as he said, he’s forming a well armed ( in his words “just as well armed) personal citizen force of no doubt thugs. I suspect that they are being prepared, trained and armed right now very quietly. The folks must make their move BEFORE this Obama personal army is formed. It’s a nasty situation that is developing but it is developing. I just wonder how many are really fathoming that it is happening? In addition, both Canada (under the 13 years of pure red Liberals) and the United States under Clinton, authorized the United Nations to station UN soldiers all over our respective countries. At this moment they are simply blending in but at the time of any uprising, they are at the ready. It’s very sad what has happened and the options to combat it are extremely limited. I would say there is only one option myself. CO

“Hate to ask this, but have you ever spent any time in uniform?”

I think you can take it for granted that he(or she) has not. I started at $326.10 a month, three hots and a cot, about 5 years before you did.

Air Force, and not directly involved in combat arms, but I think your guesstimates are pretty close. There are always some folks who will follow orders, no matter what they are, but also quite a few who really THINK about what their oath means. Especially when they’ve taken if more than once. I also taught “Law of Armed Conflict” shortly before my retirement, and we got into the military responsibility to obey lawful orders, and to disobey unlawful orders, quite a bit.

“Lead can’t stand up to that!”

It all depends. In the ‘stans, one of the major drawbacks for the locals is that our command and control structure is thousands of mile away and very difficult (for them)to penetrate.
We can sit overseas and observe or guide UAV’s on target to their leadership, and they cannot return the favour.
Here, it would be very difficult to keep the heads away from the reach of even a small portion of these 14 million registerd hunters. We may be able to keep out the crazies from without (not, IMHO without the protection of providence...), but it is not possible to keep every one in leadership here protected out to 500 meters all the time.
If UAV’s begin targeting Americans on American soil, the answer is not to attempt to knock them down with a few grains of lead, but to apply those precision guided projectiles to the heads of the ones giving the orders.
Which is the premiss of the article. There is no defense against a leaderless but determined number of people who have declared open season on the leadership of a country gone amuck.

Which is exactly why Obama has invited the "leaders" of the Tea Party to talk with him.

The enemy wants to smoke out (or more likely create) a Tea Party leadership that frankly doesn't exist, so that they can target them for public humiliation and personal destruction.

Their Alinsky "Rules for Radicals" doesn't work on an amorphous, decentralized movement such as the Tea Party. Woe to anyone on our side who foolishly presents themselves to the public as a "leader", or "spokesman" of the Tea Party. May as well commit suicide.

A prudent person would be armed with more than just a handgun. I have a handgun, a hunting rifle and a shotgun and my wife has her handgun.

We have enough ammunition and we’re waiting for the reason to use it.
