Am I the Only One who is sick and tired of "I'd Hit It"?
VANITY | TODAY | SELF

Posted on 04/20/2007 11:50:28 AM PDT by CharlesWayneCT

I've never posted a straight Vanity before.

But I am sick and tired of this good conservative, generally religious site being overrun by people posting "I'd hit it", whenever a picture of a good-looking girl is displayed.

It's demeaning, it's immoral, and I guess I'm just a prude but announcing to the world that you'd like to have sex with a woman based on her picture, like she was some object, hardly seems like the appropriate attitude on a conservative political site.

But rather than post in response to any particular person, I figured I'd just vent here where everybody could see and make fun of me.

So go ahead. I thank you for whatever indulgence you have given me in this rant.

Back to your regularly scheduled oggling and hitting.

Yes, there are many cases recorded in scripture. Here's the account from Second Samuel:

One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, and David sent someone to find out about her. - 2 Samuel 2-3 (NIV)

There’s even an apocryphal book of the Bible that mentions IHI...In fact, there’s a picture somewhere out there of a church marquee citing that book...somewhere in the archives...

Indeed. Another individual case of IhI

The model for “Venus Rising” is thought be to a 1st cousin of Amerigo Vespucci (for whom the Americas are named). So in a sense you could “hit that” for the country.

Yes, we lost a lot...

Finally got that section rebuilt—except we put another server room and some offices in there...

Traces of IhI can even be found in mankind's most primitive art. Note the idealized, though primitive, rendering of the feminine form in the so-called "Venus of Willendorf":

Undoubtedly this small piece of terra cotta was witness to many a neolithic cave-dweller's grunt of Ung Na-wok (trans: I'd hit that a lot).

Nope. Ung na-wok was “I need another spear”

An alternative (though less widespread) theory holds that the Venus of Willendorf is a realistic rendering of Helen Thomas, who probably modeled for the sculpture.

Nope. The sculptor had 10 or 1l beers before he went to work...8^)

“...the neolithic figurines exemplified by the Willendorf Venus. Beyond Rubenesque by contemporary standards, these figures probably nonetheless stood as examples of what stone-age Man would ‘hit.’”

So easy, even a caveman could hit it.
