I thought they might bring back the guy that sang in memory of his wife during the auditions. Maybe he didn't want to do it, but I would have much rather seen him than Midler or Green Day.

Watching local news--Seacrest says that during the next auditions (starting in August) Idol will focus more on the talent and less on the celebrity judges.

Seems like they're getting the message.

I’m not sure but I think I heard on some news program last night that Jordan was homeschooled. I saw her on Fox & Friends this morning & was pleasantly surprised when she talked about her ring & what it meant. She can be such a wonderful role model for young girls. I pray to God to protect & guide her as she goes into the music business. She’s going to need all the help she can get to stay strong and not be drawn into that whole skanky britney/christina thing.

OMG Bette Midler is awful!!! She is going to replace Celene Dion at Ceasar’s Palace?

I suspect that Ceasars paid a LOT of money to have her come out and sing that song. It was obviously a publicity stunt that backfired. There is simply no other explanation for her being there last night.
