>>Perp had wire ties and flex cuffs and began to tie the children. <<
...this leaves me speechless V
you type a lot faster than I...
You and I agree completely.
It is tragic, because Amish do not believe in Violence, are not armed, everyone knows this.
"Intercourse" used to be called "Cross Keys". There were signs with keys in the shape of an X. Hence, "intercourse".
lots of info & they are trying to answer all questions - I'm impressed
I caught his voice breaking a few times.
How can you tell a story like this & not be breaking up, even if it's only on the inside. Don't care if it's your job or not.
And I've always believed that the Amish are, in fact, the barometers of freedom in this country, and therefor the world. And, much like the "star spangled banner" still flying at "dawns early light". An Amish buggy bouncing down the road tells me that freedom still exists in this country. I also believe that there is a spirit, who's plans are threatened by the very existence of these people. And, I expect this spirit's minions to use this opportunity to try to force these people into the "21st century".
It will be interesting to see who rises up and offers solutions designed to "protect" them.
One other interesting factoid. The current US population of Amish is estimated at between 150,000 and 200,000. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if it was closer to 144,000.
This is one time when the word stunning truly applies.
Listening to this press conf...just beyond belief. What an awful morning for this community.
God Bless and comfort them all..
Shot the students in rapid succession during the storming of the building...kids were lined up along the blackboard...
Oh, please. They pretty much were.
Leave your radical homeschool agenda at the door.
One room Amish school house in an exclusively Amish community. An outsider came in. Home invasions happen too, you know.
Realistically, (aside from today) children are probably every bit as safe in an Amish schoolhouse as they are being homeschooled. This monster could have just as easily invaded someone's home and massacred children.
And I have a feeling that the curriculum in the Amish school would meet with the approval of homeschoolers.
"The Amish give me the creeps"
I cannot imagine why that would be. The Amish are among the most peaceful, quite people in this country. They never intend to cause offense, and generally just mind their own business.
Perhaps you should learn more about them, so you wouldn't have such odd reactions.
Victims' ages between 6 and 13... sheer evil.
Continuing prayers for victims and their families.
Seems the fear and hatred of women causes a lot of death both here and abroad. Undoubtedly they are all insane. What is scary is that they can walk among us and we don't know it until they act.
Thank you. That really irritated me too.
OMG! he dropped his own three children off at the bus stop to another another school and showed up this school...Oh MY!
Unthinkable how a father could kill children.
