Free Republic Poll on Evolution

Free Republic is currently running a poll on this subject:
Do you think creationism or intelligent design should be taught in science classes in secondary public schools as a competing scientific theory to evolution?
You can find the poll at the bottom of your "self search" page, also titled "My Comments," where you go to look for posts you've received. I don't know what effect -- if any -- the poll will have on the future of this website's science threads. But it's certainly worth while to know the general attitude of the people who frequent this website.
Science isn't a democracy, and the value of scientific theories isn't something that's voted upon. The outcome of this poll won't have any scientific importance. But the poll is important because this is a political website. How we decide to educate our children is a very important issue. It's also important whether the political parties decide to take a position on this. (I don't think they should, but it may be happening anyway.)
If you have an opinion on this subject, go ahead and vote.

You have such a loose grip on the facts. You have no sense of history. The evo wars were several years ago. the current round is scarcely a skirmish.

The battle to defeat the Gospel of Jesus Christ, of which the evo war is a part, continues until his triumphal return.
You're either with him, or you are irrelevant.

Neither of your statements contain a shred of truth. The thread speaks.

That settles it, doesn't it? It's certainly a clue about the problems we've been experiencing in the science news threads. One side is discussing science, the other side is waging spiritual warfare. Doesn't leave much room for courteous discourse.

#1182... Amen... as good a sermon as I've read lately..
Spot on, as cogent and concise, as possible, and cuts through mere words(of this thread) as with a double edged sword..

Neither of your statements contain a shred of truth. The thread speaks.
Given that all sources that I have located on the subject -- inculding a source that you have provided -- state plainly that "Vitamin C" is ascorbic acid and that you have provided absolutely no references that state otherwise, I must question your honesty on this subject. It would appear that you are continuing to repeat a demonstratably false claim, despite ample evidence that you are incorrect.
This appears similar to your claim, also in this discussion, that most of the "pro-evo" votes in the informal poll held by Godel came from the same computer. Your claim is demonstratably false and has no basis in reality, but you continued to defend it in spite of clear evidence that you were wrong, going so far as to state that js1138 did not read the discussion when it was originally posted, even though js1138 had posted to the discussion at the time of its activity.
Given that you are prone to repeating blatantly false claims, even in spite of clear evidence -- sometimes from your own references -- that your claims are false, I can only conclude that your falsehoods result from you attempting to engage in deliberate acts of deception.

You said it and I believe it!
Your belief does not make the claim reailty. The statement that the theory of evolution is an attempt to "defeat" the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a lie.

Maybe it would be instructive to have a poll on that peculiar delusion. Something to think about ...

While FreedomProtector may be heroic in an unlikely time, FreedomProtector obviously does not have the power to change a heart...
"because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so"
Only God, the Creator of all living things, has the power to change a heart.

You're either with him, or you are irrelevant. Amazing.
Opposing the teaching of creationism in science class makes one an enemy of the Lord.
This is just the sort of extremism that will drive people away from the conservative moment.

I's pretty hard to change hearts while you are busy high-fiving guys who claim the words of Isaiah are the work of the devil.

Neither shall they learn war anymore.
