Excellent questions, Ace! I would like to know the answers also! I will continue to pray for Natalee's family and for justice to be done!

Ace I can answer a few of your questions. Firstly, under Dutch law there is no such thing as "Obstruction of Justice"; secondly the detainee can exercise a right to "remain silent; and lastly, the case stays open for TWO years before the file is released to the family. They will get the file since they have filed an adjoinder suit I believe but who knows how much tampering will have been done with the file. Frankly, this case is about CORRUPTION, COLLUSION AND COVERUP!! I do believe tho, that our God can supernaturally undo these individuals. I'm not convinced yet that natalee's remains will never be found. Also, I understand that there is still searching taking place. Who knows, who might just forward and why. Who knows who might just "find" something so incriminating that it cannot be overlooked? I do believe all your other points are correct but Aruba, in the face of the whole world, showed how CORRUPT and how much COLLUSION has taken place. I do wish that Americans and Canadians and British citizens would BOYCOTT the Island until Justice is done.
Why can't the US State Department ask American citizens not to travel to any Dutch protecterate? They could actually and they would break the economic back of these corrupt islands. There are many things that could be brought to bear to help bring justice. I wish that the Dutch Embassy would be asked to leave America. I know, I'm dreaming.

Once he is away from the shelter of his family, and in a College environment, he will be constantly trying to dodge questions and/or be ostracized.
His life will be a disaster. I can perceive the problems he will face in the future. Justice comes in all different forms, so he will pay the rest of his life for that night...guilty or innocent.

I don't think it's possible that three individuals can ever keep a secret. If they are truly guilty, one of them is going to do some talking... either by design or by accident.
Isn't a true confession better than speculation? Maybe that's the real path this is supposed to take? They weren't getting anywhere keeping them locked up.

Second - I have Six unresolved questions:
We all do Ace.
1. The Aruban law that was quoted: “when a person disappears, the last person known to be in company of the missing individual is responsible and can be charged with kidnapping”? Also isn’t there a charge/crime for “an accessory to a charge/crime”?
I am still waiting for the developement of this. However the 3 main suspects that we know of are the ones that we have heard were the last to have been seen with Natalee. But it could be possibe that they were not the last that Natalee was in the company of.
During one of his last interviews the words of Jug:
Natalee got into something way over her head, we got into something that is way over our heads continue to resignate in my head.
I believe whatever happened to Natalee goes far beyond these 3 suspects.
2. The many girls/young women who supposedly came forth with allegations that Joran Van Der Sloot had raped them also? Supposedly drugs had been used during these “date rapes”, a pattern which apparently fits the likely scenario involving Natalee Holloway? Were these false leads or stories concocted by certain individuals intentionally to “muddy the waters” during the investigation and search for Natalee Holloway?
Iirc the last info that was being taken anywhere close to serious was the 16 year old female that was undergoing counciling per the Twittys lawyer Helen Lejuez. But at the present your guess is as good as mine.

I do not believe that this was false info. Geraldo spoke of this early on in the investigation. After Geraldo reported on it, there was no mention of it again until in the past couple of weeks. As far as mudding the waters, I still wonder about Jossy Mansur and his relatives that are involved. The Twittys trust and find Jossy endearing. I'm sorry, although I am very distant from the scene I would not trust (mudding the water)Jossy Mansur in any way. Nor would I trust any of the Aruban attorneys that the Twitty's hired.
4. Doesn’t Aruba have a charge/crime and penalty for “obstruction of justice”? There are a number of individuals who are guilty of this charge/crime: Joran Van Der Sloot (VDS), Paulus VDS, the Kalpoes and Freddy.
Two items of note: Unlike the U.S., there is a parent-child privilege in Aruba. A parent cannot be compelled to be a witness against his or her child. Also, there is no crime of obstruction of justice in Aruba.
In my book a failure to talk or give testimony is equivalent to “contempt of court” where the person refusing to talk can be held in jail indefinitely!
I guess the Joran was/is exercising Aruba's equivalent of the US's taking the 5th.
6. When will (if ever) the file (leads, tips, searches, evidence, etc., etc.) on the Natalee Holloway case be released to the Twittys/Holloways? In what media form? Will this file ever be released to the public and the media; i.e., does Aruba have an Freedom of Information act or rule? Will it be a complete file or a redacted version or only selected portions as determined by the Aruban judicial system?
I am afraid I have no answer to this one Ace since this is an ongoing case. Aruba's prime minister vows investigation 'will not cease'
I believe that Beth stated that she would receive the files at the end of the investigation. IMHO the investigation will linger on for the next 2 years ending with justice not being served.

According to IAPA (2002), there have been no reports of restriction of press freedom in Aruba and the Dutch Caribbean. In 2001, the government of the Dutch Antilles and Aruba reportedly passed a law calling for more transparency in government in order to enable the media to obtain official information without problems. Citizens are also allowed access to information from the government, as long as the information “will not be used to jeopardize the government in any way.”

I am waiting for Beth and Jug to expose the corruption that is transpiring in Aruba. If Beth and Jug remain silent then that is it as far as the 3 suspects.

ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) - The investigation into the disappearance of a U.S. teen "will not cease" despite the release of the three suspects, Aruba's prime minister said Monday, even as a Dutch youth held in the case left the island for Holland.
Prime Minister Nelson Oduber, who has previously said Aruban authorities made mistakes in the early part of the Natalee Holloway investigation, added that he could appreciate the "dismay" of the missing teen's mother over the setback in the high-profile case.
"After a summer of investigation, searches, and extended detentions the case has not been solved. But, the case is not concluded. And we will continue to demand that the search for answers into what happened to Natalee will not cease," Oduber said in a statement released Monday.
The remarks from the prime minister, who is running for re-election this month, are the first since the release Saturday of Joran van der Sloot, an 18-year-old Dutch resident of the island, and two Surinamese brothers. The three were released on the condition they remain available to police.
Van der Sloot left Monday night on a flight to Holland, where he will attend college, his mother said. Anita van der Sloot said Joran will attend an "international school in the Hague" and pleaded for the media to leave him alone.
"He's a good boy. It's enough," van der Sloot told The Associated Press during a telephone interview in which she also expressed sympathy for Holloway's family. "I pray for Natalee and the Holloway-Twitty family and I'm still convinced she is alive," she said.
The prime minister has declined repeated requests for interviews about the Holloway case.
"We want the Holloway-Twitty family to know that we understand and share their dismay that they leave Aruba without the answers they so dearly want," Oduber said in the statement. "I pledge to them that there will be a conclusion."
Holloway's mother, Beth Holloway Twitty, left Aruba for her home in Mountain Brook, Alabama on Sunday, saying she had "exhausted all my avenues" after pressuring authorities since shortly after the teen disappeared on the final day of a high school graduation trip to the Dutch Caribbean island.
Holloway was last seen leaving a bar with van der Sloot and the two brothers, Satish and Deepak Kalpoe early on May 30 - hours before she was the board a flight back home. Extensive searches of the island have failed to find any trace of her.
Her family has often been critical of local authorities, who did not detain van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers as suspects until 10 days after she was reported missing.
Twitty said she would return to Aruba on Thursday to pack the remainder of her belongings, and will return to the island in the future, but would seek justice for her daughter from the United States.
"I will not be living in Aruba, but the Holloway-Twitty family will never leave Aruba without Natalee. This is not the end, it is just the beginning," she told The Associated Press by phone from the United States.
Parliamentary elections will be held Sept. 23, and Oduber's governing party stands to lose its slim majority in the face of growing discontent over the rising cost of living. The prime minister said he plans to make efforts to increase tourism and ensure that Aruba is "still a safe and hospitable place for visitors."
"The tragedy of one family's loss has touched all of us." Nevertheless, "we cannot delay the plans we have for Aruba's future. It is time to focus anew on the issues that will continue the economic growth of our country," Oduber said.

Well said spectre as always. I agree. Firstly I have NO doubt these guys including the VDS father are guilty. And one of the Kalpoe bros. (Deepak) was online within hours of being released making a statement like: "So I'm out, I'm free, you may think I'm arrogant but I don't give a F*^k!! Nice huh! It won't be long. These guys live in bars, drinking partying, raping, drugging etc. "Loose lips sink ships - theirs"!!
