Those levees and dams could have been upgraded to withstand an H-5 hurricane/flooding. The powers to be(NO) as usual, failed in that aspect as well. It is apparent, the party life, unsound leadership and lacksadaisical attitude prevailed in the loss of lives in (NO).

People may be continuing to vacation in Aruba, and many of them may be on tours that already have an itinerary of stoppoing there.

But I wonder if teenagers are still hanging out at Carlos and Charlie's until all hours of the morning? Has that dive suffered at all or is it still doing a booming business? I imagine rubber neckers have been flocking there just to see it, but is it actually making money off of the rabble rousers?

I don't believe there is enough evidence to hold Joran. A picture of a girl in a bikini is not evidence of a crime.

There were other girls present when the photos were taken. They weren't arrested. She still considers herself a friend of Joran's. She just wanted the pictures removed from the web and Freddie complied.

All these girls that Jossy claimed Joran raped never appeared. one went to Jossy and the Holloway's attorney, but we never heard anymore after she spoke to the police.

I think these witnesses are more of Jossy Mansur's vendetta for the government. From his nephew's gardener to the landfill ("It was either Natalee or a coconut tree") guy, the old belt, the duct tape, the searches, etc. So far Jossy's witnesses and evidence haven't held up.

Read Jossy's history. He has had a grudge against the government for a long time. He owns half the island. Sounds like he's done pretty good for himself under their system. I think he latched on to this case for his own personal vendetta.

i don't understand all of you that think we are traitors because we believe in "innocent until proven guilty." Maybe he was let go, not because of a grand conspiracy by the Aruban government, but simply because there is not enough evidence. Yes, the Aruban police screwed up in the beginning, but it looks like they are now going overboard with charges that are not holding up.

Yes. If Beth wants to use the media to try to extract a bit of revenge / justice for Natalle she should wait until next week when the hurricane story dies back a bit. This case and story is closing. Speak soon or the audience will be small.

The boys will be released and will have learned there lesson from the hassle of the last few months (Aruba point of view). The people of Aruba will just convince themselves that all of this fuss was just overblown and trivia. They will say “so what a couple of our boys had a little fun with an American girl and she disappeared. What do you want us to do about it!” Americans will snap up the cheaper room rates in Aruba and the “happy little island” will return to its pre-Beth state.

You nailed it. That's exactly what they are doing now that Katrina has knocked Natalee off the front page. Beth needs to hold her fire for a while and let some time pass before she nails that sorry country and exposes their rampant corruption. I'll keep them all in my prayers and hope that she will immediately get started on a 'tell all' book about their tragic ordeal in Aruba.

No doubt there will be a nation wide boycott of Aruba once Beth exposes the way they have been treated and the injustices they've faced.
