The Island is 6 to 7 miles deep by about 20 miles long

B-1 = California Lighthouse - where the boys claim they took her first after leaving the Bar.

D-3 = #4 is the location of the 2 Marriott Hotels - where the 2 brothers (and now Joran) claim they dropped Joran and Natalee off after leaving the lighthouse - the 2 brothers claim they went home to Hooiberg after that.

D-3 = #19 is the location of the Holiday Inn where Natalee was staying.

G-5 = Where the red #2 marker is pointing to is the area that the Carlos & Charlie Bar is located

D-4 = Township of Montana is where Joran lives

F-7/8 = Hooiberg (Haystack Mountain) - The 2 Kalpoe brothers live in this area at the foot of the Haystack Mountian.

C-9 = By the Natural Bridge on the map is the location where the sharks hang out as they are fed at this location. This is the Shark Infested Feeding Area.

E-3 = Wetland in the Bird Sanctuary is the location where they found the Condoms/Condom Wrappers - Duct Tape (looked like black electrical tape to me) - Female Flowered Panties - and a String or Strap from a Bikini or Halter Top.

I suppose deciding whether to go forward with frightening allegations is something that needs some time to discuss with their lawyers as well.

I don't know if Greta is going back to Aruba after the weekend; does anyone?

Is there any chance they will convict and put away this slimy Joran?

Google "rohypnol +drug interaction" and you will concluded that it really matters what kind of meds she was on. I wish we knew what they were.

I lurk on a couple of other sites.....this crap about the authorities should question Jug has been going on for a few days. Plus the usual bash America posts and it's all about oil and Beth is a control freak and needs to go home. Sickening stuff.....

Oh, and of course, the speculation is that the medication was birth control pills....

Brothers Freed in Aruba Missing Teen Case

ORANJESTAD, Aruba - Two Surinamese brothers held in the disappearance of an Alabama teenager were freed Monday on the orders of a judge, but the 17-year-old son of a top justice official was ordered jailed for 60 more days.

The justice official's son, Joran van der Sloot, and Surinamese brothers Deepak Kalpoe, 21, and Satish Kalpoe, 18, had been held since June 9 on suspicion of murder in the disappearance of 18-year-old Natalee Holloway, of Mountain Brook, Ala. The three young men have acknowledged that they were with Holloway the night she disappeared.

Holloway vanished in the early hours of May 30, the last day of a five-day vacation on the Dutch Caribbean island to celebrate her high school graduation with 124 other students.

"The detention of Deepak and Satish K. has not been prolonged," court clerk Isella Wernet said, reading from a prepared statement outside the courthouse. "The suspects are ordered released immediately. The detention of Joran van der S. has been prolonged 60 days beginning today."

Wernet did not explain the reasons for the judge's decision.

An AP photographer saw the Kalpoe brothers leaving the San Nicolas prison accompanied by a lawyer.

"The day finally came," one of Satish Kalpoe's lawyers, David Kock told The Associated Press later. "I've been saying this for a long time: They have no basis to keep my client in detention."

The office of Attorney General Karin Janssen said prosecutors are considering appealing the decision to release the Kalpoes. They have three days to do so.

Contacted by telephone, van der Sloot's father, Paul van der Sloot, said he had no comment on the judge's decision.

Holloway's stepfather, George "Jug" Twitty, said the family decided to cancel a previously planned news conference because "after today, we just need to regroup and think about it all before we say anything."

Under Dutch law that governs Aruba, a protectorate of the Netherlands, detainees can be held 116 days before being charged by a judge. Van der Sloot has still not been charged formally, said his lawyer, Antonio Carlo.

Prosecutors have acknowledged they have no solid evidence that Holloway is dead. They said they could proceed with a criminal case anyway, although it would be difficult.

The judge's decision was announced several hours after van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers were brought to the courthouse in the capital, Oranjestad.

Holloway's mother, her father, and their respective spouses were allowed to wait inside the courthouse, but were prohibited from attending the hearings, a family friend said.

Earlier Monday, attorneys for all three young men reiterated their clients' claims of innocence.

"The further we get, the more it shows my client had nothing to do with any crime," said Deepak Kalpoe's lawyer, Ruud Oomen.

Carlo would not comment on whether investigators had presented any new evidence against his client. But he said a judge did approve a motion allowing attorneys to be present whenever van der Sloot is interrogated. Carlo said previous requests for a lawyer's presence had been denied since the beginning of the case.

The Kalpoe brothers have told police they dropped Holloway and van der Sloot off near the Marriott Hotel in the early morning hours of May 30 and that was the last time they saw her.

Van der Sloot's mother, Anita van der Sloot, said her son told her he was alone with Holloway on a beach but that he did not harm her.

Holloway vanished the same day she was to catch a flight home with the other students celebrating high school graduation. Numerous searches by Dutch marines, Aruban investigators and volunteer rescue groups have failed to turn up any trace of her.

JMO.

Since Beth didn't say what meds
they were, I would venture to
guess they aren't important
and they are legal. Like an
allergy medicine. (Just a guess.)

Based on several things I have read and reading between the lines coupled with the fact Natalee's natural father was an insurance agent, I think/surmise/guess that what the authorities asked the parents was how much life insurance they had on her..this would be enough to tick off the Pope...while it is a bonafide question in murder investigations (follow the money) it still is insensitive and coupled with the investigations incompetence it would cause animosity between the Aruba police and the family. After I yelled at the cop who would pose such a question, I would be inclined to answer the question with a question..how much life insurance does PVDS have on his son?

Of course they were legal. Otherwise they wouldn't have been meds. Could have been anything from prozac to lithium to antibiotics. Lower odds on their being antibiotics.

Having been on meds (still am), they would be colloquially defined as something a person is on and needs daily to function or to remain healthy...whether temporarily or permanently.

I think Beth is withholding because she either thinks it is irrelevant (and no one's business) or she was advised to do so by someone like the DEA or the FBI. Here meds might have meaning regarding her condition. If she were on antibiotics, she would refrain from drinking alcohol. If she were taking neuroleptics or antidepressants, she would keep her drinking to a minimum.

However, if someone had slipped rohypnol or another date rape drug in her iced tea or cocktail, it might have caused her death.

Oh, you poor thing.

We sold our sawmill in Wyoming in 1990. Mr. RR tried to retire. He drove me out of my mind. He followed me everywhere. I felt like we were joined at the hip. One day, I just had enough and told him, "I took you for better or worse, but NOT for lunch every dam*ed day!" One week later he bought a new business here in So. Dakota. We moved here, built a new home and have lived happily ever after. Our sons recently bought into the business and Mr. RR is slowing down again.....but, oh joy, he discovered golf! The boys are doing a really great job with the plant, hubby plays a lot of golf, we travel quite often, and I FReep. After 45 years of marriage, we have found a good balance. Life is good.

Wish it were so for Beth Holloway-Twitty. My heart breaks for all those who loved Natalee.

I wouldn't mind meeting or going out with Joran. I think he is very attractive. He seems like he would be a lot of fun to be around--with the partying and everything. I don't think he's guilty of hurting Natalee. I think he may be a womanizer and drink a little, but that fits most guys I know. I hope he is released soon if he truly is innocent which I think he is. I can definitely see why Natalee would talk to him. His friends are cute too--especially that one guy.

I've seen this as well. As a matter of fact I just got booted off one site because I responded to a thread about the behavior of the MB students. Sad the way some people want to turn this around on the victim(s) here. I don't blame Jug for they way he has acted down in Aruba. He has to be sooo frustrated.

i totally agree, i haven't been able to figure out if it is arubans on SM site or just non-americans that are so hypercritical of the HollowayTwitty family. i find it mindboggling. that family is going through hell and they are having these kind of comments directed at them?what kind of people would stoop to that?
