Big time fist throwing. Fans, players and more. Any thoughts ?
By the way, the line for the Christmas Day Pacers-Pistons rematch is Pacers+6/Over+180/3rd Period KO+110
The NBA is a total THUG FEST to start with.
99 % of the players are ignorant thugs with a streetball mentality. The fans, for the most part, have the same FUBU attitude with the players.
Gone is the art of the game, now it's all "in your face slamma jamma ding dong". The "hard foul" was NOTHING! and Artest Wallace was juss lookin' for a fight, cause he was dissed on the court, HIS hood..etc.
Gangsta Ball...too sad.
G
Well, read all the posts, saw the same things and feel as though I should chime in...:-)
The fight on the court was pretty much over when the cup landed on Artest, which obviously didn't hurt him. But the whole situation went straight to hell when Artest and Jackson rushed to the stands to attack the fans.
Just seeing the brawl on ESPN this morning...all are wrong. Fans too close to players (which was always fun, perhaps not anymore). Too much beer at sporting events. Maybe our fans are trying to be EU soccer fans. I understand heat of game for players. However, no player should ever go into the stands at all. Let's face it not even hockey with the glass is enough to stop players and fans from fighting. It's ashame to me. But, I don't know what it will take to stop the bs.
Are the fans that participated in the fight to blame? Sure. But these are professional athletes for crying out loud. ESPN is acting like no one ever throws cups and objects at players. Obviously they've never seen a football game.
The team fight was over before the cup was thrown. It was Artest and O'Neal who turned it into a riot. Both of those thugs should be kicked out of the NBA permanently.
Okay, I know practically nothing about b-ball and Artest and all this--just the little I've read this morning. I say throw Artest out and let him pursue his career in rap then those interested are guaranteed more excitement at next year's Vibe awards.
"How does that saying go? I went to a basketball game and a Vibe Awards broke out?"
LOL!
I smell a major lawsuit. The guy who got hit in the face, and then hit again, was just on the news. He said he didn't hit anyone. His friend was injured and still being attacked, he jumped down to protect him. I bet he will make off with million$.
This is why I no longer watch pro sports. Bunch of over paid spoiled brats.
Rudy Tomjonavich got his face bashed in when he was a pro basketball player.
I don't watch any kind of sports where horses aren't involved but I've seen the footage of this basketball fight about a zillion times this morning. The guy laying on the table looked like he was trying to get his temper in check then was pelted with a cup by a fan. That's when he blew the cork.
Well, I'm a professional in my field too. But say somebody in my office comes up and shoves me by the throat, and I back up and off. I lay down and mind my own business and someone else comes up and throws a beer on me. You are telling me I am not suppose to defend myself? Don't count on that happening.
I never could get into basketball. I did like hockey, up till one hockey team hired a CONVICTED rapist to play. Most sports is disgusting to me. It all comes down to money, and that's why the NBA is the way it is today.
That comment is too good!!!!!
"How does that saying go? I went to a basketball game and a Vibe Awards broke out?"
LOL!
GO OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY COWBOYS
BEAT TEXAS TECH RED RAIDERS
Yes you can defend yourself. But if you go to the next office and punch out the receptionist, it's over.
Artest suspended for the rest of the season.... O'neal suspended 20 games......
ESPNews has been showing the video over and over all night.
