I agree. I just saw the video. There are clearly two events here. These scuffles between players happen all the time. The Wallace incident was pretty much under control. Artest is the chump here. And given his rap sheet, it should surprise no one that his actions became as horrible as they did. O'Neal is also another very responsible party here. The punches he threw at fans are inexcusable.

Are the fans that participated in the fight to blame? Sure. But these are professional athletes for crying out loud. ESPN is acting like no one ever throws cups and objects at players. Obviously they've never seen a football game.

The team fight was over before the cup was thrown. It was Artest and O'Neal who turned it into a riot. Both of those thugs should be kicked out of the NBA permanently.

Well, I'm a professional in my field too. But say somebody in my office comes up and shoves me by the throat, and I back up and off. I lay down and mind my own business and someone else comes up and throws a beer on me. You are telling me I am not suppose to defend myself? Don't count on that happening.

Agree .. they never should have rushed the stands and started beating the fans .. ESPECIALLY when they don't have a clue of who threw the cup

When the fans get out of control .. it's the Security's job to deal with them
