Hockey is still the sport where the players know how to fight. Of course in water polo you can't tell if they are drowning each other while fighting or playing the game. As far as basketball goes the old saying "size matters" rings true. Most of the players are just too big and strong; one good punch and its over.

There's a guy here in DC named Robin Ficker that wears a goalie's mask because he has taunted more than one NBA into striking him. He promptly sues them. This guy is a real jerk. Unfortunately he keeps trying to run for office as a Republican.

>>Bunch of ignorant tattoo rapping thugs playing street ball. I gave up my season tickets to the Mavericks years ago.
Excellent!
Now, if you have any children, make sure they don't follow these tattoed, hip-hopping, good-for-nothing thugs.

The NBA became unwatchable right about the time the players' "shorts" reached their shins.
....which also happened to be about the time when looking good on the ESPN highlight reel became more important than winning games.
....and fundamentals became passe´.

I know that Dallas beat the Knicks tonight---but the brawl is more fun to watch.
I guess Ron Artest really wishes he could have had this month off to rest up from making that Rap Album. HMMMM?

I don't care what a fan does. There is never an excuse for a player in any sport to attack a fan (the exception being if the player's life is in danger). These aren't just athletes, they are professional athletes. Professionals don't get drawn into fights with the people who pay their salaries. No excuse.

Crash and burn for NBA in the next five years. the NBA will be saved by expansion into London and Paris since the best players are coming out of Europe now

If you watch the tape...there's a black guy in a dark grey sweat that has this "oh sh**" look on his face when Artest comes into the stand. He's backing up when Artest charges, and Artest goes after the white guy with the glasses. I'm wondering if the first guy is the guy who hit Artest.
To: LesbianThespianGymnasticMidget
Wow! I don't know what to say. This is a horrible situation that could affect all sports. There will be criminal action taken for sure.
To: 80skid
Yes, Artest.
Rethorical question: Who is Artest and who cares?

I live in indy, and I would personally prefer a topless stripper mud wrestling league to having the pacers. Since we do not have one, I watch the pacers. ;-P
