No offense to our Detroit Freepers, I hate Detroit, always have.I agree. Why buy a car made in Detroit? Chances are that you have more Muslims building that car than if it was built in Iran!

We see it. You only need to post it once.

Fortunately, the police took a copy of the tape as evidence. Hopefully, they arrest the two bozos who started swinging at Jones and Artest as well as whoever threw the chair. Not to mention the two clowns who came on the court by the Pacer's bench. However, it's ridiculous to say the Artest, Jackson, and O'Neal shouldn't be candidates for criminal charges as well. Maybe we can implicate Kwame and Jennifer Granholm as well.

Most of those bulding the cars are White Catholics or blacks.

What's odd is that there are fights at almost EVERY football game with a high attendance at the college and pro level. They get broken up, but they usually begin with words and thrown objects and liquid. Why do we hold these men to a higher standard than we'd hold ourselves if someone threw beer at us at a football game? Or threw a flipping chair?!?
What about the Antoine Walker case, where a fan threw something at him and put his HANDS on him?
It's one way with some people on this board, and I think I know why.
Yep. I know that sports have the rule that players can't go into the stands to attack fans. But there's something very wrong when fans can throw stuff at players, the players go to defend themselves, and the fans will most likely end up being millionaires, thanks to their own rotten behavior.

Maybe we can implicate Kwame and Jennifer Granholm as well. Or Ed McNamara....(the recently retired Boss Daley of Wayne County)

It is kind of funny when people think repetition like that works. Please make a reasoned argument and we will be very happy to read it and comment.

Well as long as none of your guys try to choke Henne when he's on the ground. ;)
Shazor will deliver much punishment unto the Buckeyes :)

Skywalk...just read that article and few others on Artest.
It isn't just this incident. The guy has been a walking time bomb for years. Of all the idiot players, fans, coaches and security people in that arena, Artest was the one guy who you could easily say would start something like this, and clearly has a history of it.
I got lucky and got a pair of second row tickets to a Bucks game next month, right behind the Bucks bench. I was going to take my 82 year old mom (who loves the NBA) I guarantee you that when I make that phone call tomorrow, she says she doesn't want to go, based on tonight. Thats a sad statement on the NBA.
Yeah, Badgers choked last week....but, in the years we make the Rose bowl, its on the last day of the year, and we get help from either Mich or OSU beating each other up....thinking it will be the same way this year :)
And of course, we uphold the big-ten pride with three straight W's in the 1993, 98 and 99 Rose bowls.
Good talking...I'm headed off to bed.

Maybe the Buckeyes can copy that linebacker from San Diego State who blindsided Henne earlier this season. That would fit their M.O.

IF the "players" would have been "playing" the game, NONE of this would have transpired. Most insightful post of the entire thread...

Here's a hint... next time you want to post the same thing to more than one person, do it like this.

Unless he was talkin' smack while lying there. As I said earlier, no matter how out of bounds the fan was for tossing that brew, Artest has to have the presence of mind not to run into the stands and physically go after the guy he thought threw the thing. It could cost him his career. Worth it just to land a few punches? No way I just saw the video of it .. he lost his cool BIG TIME and was just swinging away

Artest doesn't have to go, I don't think. If you were at a football game and someone threw beer at you, I don't think you'd overlook it.
You are overlooking the path the Artest mowed to get to the fan (who was a clear idiot). Artest exploded off of the table and mowed down, first a women sportscaster, then an old bald guy.. both of whom are injured (they were both at the table covering the game). They certainly were not part of the incident and Artest (and by extension the beer-thrower) is not just going to be paying NBA fines for this.
