Big time fist throwing. Fans, players and more. Any thoughts ?
I guess this thread is for people who saw it instead of people who don't know what you're talking about.
"got beaned by something a fan threw"
A fan ??? lol looked like stuff raining down to me. Detroit is full of libs. What the hell do you expect. Bunch of criminals and barbaric ethicless a$$holes.
Um, Red State v. Blue State?
College basketball, pro basketball.
THUGS
Paid for by ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN, FOX and all the idiot fans that don't recognize it. The shame of America, if there is one, is the treatment of legitimate academic and sports achievers in lieu of the "talented" thugs.
At least baseball doesn't hide the fact that they take advantage of uneducated minorities AND majorities. Colleges do it every day and hide it from you and me. They should be put out of business.
I'm from Windsor, so I understand the feeling :-)
Now it goes "I went to a fight and a basketball game broke out."
on ESPN News now....
I meant the first actual direct hit that resulted in the Pacers going into the stands.Looked like an IHL hockey game in the old Toledo Sports Arena circa 1975.
Artest fouled Ben Wallace on a layup, and gave him a little nudge when he did.
After the play, Wallace came at Artest, and shoved him in the neck with both hands.
All the players and the refs got between them and the two teams started arguing with each other.
Artest layed down on the scorer's table with his hands behind his head, as if to watch the festivities (I think he knows he is not on good terms with the league and wanted to play it cool).
Players keep arguing, Stephen Jackson of the Pacers is trying to goad a Piston to hit him. Ben Wallace gets a towel from the bench and throws it at Artest, still laying on the table.
A fan chucks a plastic cup of beer/soda at Artest and hits him. Artest jumps up and charges into the stands. About 5 rows back, he grabs the guy who threw it and tries to hit him. I don't know if he connected.
The other players charge into the stands, and some of the fans start swinging at the Pacers. Stephen Jackson nails this one fan square.
Beer bottles and cups are flying all over - when the Pacers leave through the tunnel, fans are pouring their drinks all over them. I think Jermaine O'Neal dragged a fan out of the stands - but the camera cut away.
The Detroit fans acted like buncha idiots, and ESPN is putting all the blame on 'em. It wasn't even a flagrant foul, for cryin' out loud. Those guys in the stands should ease up on the beer some. Some of them *definitely* need to be arrested for assault. Hope Detroit gets seriously fined.
Turn to ESPN News
The ESPN commentator agreed that the Piston fans were the real discrace in this incident. Ron Artest backed away from a fight with Wallace, but then fans launched beer and other objects and all hell broke loose.

Sorry man... just watch any sports show in the next week or 6. This will be replayed billions of times before the week is over, and you will remember not knowing this with fondness.
People still watching and following the NBA?
Dude, you know how, like, hard that is?(!)
(Reaches above thread, blocks Abdul-Jabbar skyhook.)
The game replaced was Port and Golden State. Sheed with buzzer beater then a fight broke out.
Stephen Jackson was goin nuts in this, hope Artest doesnt get supsended, need him next week.
How does that saying go? I went to a basketball game and a Vibe Awards broke out?
Now it goes "I went to a fight and a basketball game broke out."
Now it goe " they are a fighting team with a basketball problem."
Sounds like the early days of the NBA
Hell I remember my father telling me about back in the 20s and 30s upstate PA the miners would heat up pennies on their head lamps and toss them using pliers at the opposition
