Jurors turn focus to Scott Peterson's fishing boat
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. Jurors in Scott Peterson's capital murder trial want to see the boat the fertilizer salesman allegedly used to dump his wife's body in the San Francisco Bay, according to two sources close to the case.
The panel wrote a note to Judge Alfred Delucchi Friday requesting an inspection of the 14-foot aluminum Gamefisher Peterson took out on the bay Dec. 24, 2002, the day he reported his wife, Laci, missing.
The sources confirmed to Court TV that the boat will be brought to the courthouse and jurors will see it Monday.
The request to see the boat came as the panel completed a third day of deliberations without reaching a verdict. The six men and six women have weighed evidence for nearly 19 hours. They will spend the weekend sequestered at a hotel, but they are not permitted to discuss the case until they return to the jury room at about 8 a.m. Monday.
Story continues ........
We're irresistable, once we get going. ;-D
Besides, this is no worse than news of Arafat's death and nondeath, and Kerry wanting to run again in '08 after taking an active role in the Senate.
I think we slipped into Monty Python world today. I just hope Sharon finds a bit of humor somewhere in this to see her through.

It is PROBABLY #6!! Justin's pal.

I was just thinking the same thing.... I'll bet he has a boat like Snott's... I'll bet he's the NG that was in the boat yesterday. I'll bet he told the rest of the jury all about his recent fishing/dumping experiment. OH LORD...
I agree....Abrams pointed out that all the things that they asked for were associated with pre-meditation.
FALCONER: I did. I'm sorry. Nancy, I think you got six wrong. I think if there's somebody holding out stubborn I think you're going to be surprised at who it is.
GRACE: Oh, really, and how would you know that, Mr. Falconer unless you have been in touch with number 6.
FALCONER: Actually I sat next to him in court...
KING: Maybe he knows him better than you.
FALCONER: Yes, I know him a lot better than you...
GRACE: Maybe or maybe you have been talking to him.
FALCONER: I don't think -- no, Nancy, I haven't been talking to him but I did sit next to him for four weeks and I do know him better than you, and I don't think he's who you're thinking.
DIMITRIUS: I'll come to Justin's defense.
KING: How so?
DIMITRIUS: I'll come to Justin's defense. I don't think it's juror number deep six. I think that there's another juror that everyone's been talking about that would be no surprise to anybody who that individual is.
FALCONER: She knows exactly who I'm talking about.
KING: Since that's the question, why can't you tell us?
DIMITRIUS: Well, everybody's referring to him -- I believe his number is juror number 8.
FALCONER: Exactly. Thank you very much.
GRACE: No way.
(CROSSTALK)
FALCONER: Hey, Nancy. Let me tell you this right now, too, and I'll say this right here that when everything does open up, there was complaints against juror number 8 from the other jurors. So this is not -- I've been watching your reporting and hearing what you've been saying. It's not been accurate.
GRACE: How long were you on the jury, Justin?
FALCONER: A lot longer than you were, Nancy.
GRACE: True. You got me on that one.
KING: Nancy, at least admit, admit that he may know them better than you.
GRACE: It hurts, but I think you're right.
Hi SJ. Your so right. It's always the tax payer isn't it? I hope the Judge just dismisses the Juror. A mistrial doesn't help anybody really.
NO, I heard that CARDOZA will defend him next time. GAG ME!!
Evidently that's an option---it depends what this juror did and if it was shared with the jury, I guess.
Oh, my Court TV is LIVE (that is rare) and Beth Karas says everyone is at lunch and this brouhaha might be over.
Maybe the judge has heard what he needs and will issue a ruling or he heard enough and ruled already in chambers. Stay tuned.
If we get a new juror, it will be Strawberry Shortcake. They will need to start deliberating from the beginning when she comes on.
The sick lady needs to leave on Friday, which would mean another alternate (if they don't finish first), and starting over AGAIN.
We could still put Scott away, but Delucchi will need a long vacation afterwards.
Anybody know anything about the alternate after Shortcake? I've been listening to see if CTV has anything about this eventuality.

Thanks....it's up now!
Lunchbreak....good, I can get the laundry done!
We had a Juror here (actually in Vancouver), who SLEPT with one of the defendants in a Gang style multiple murder and then she voted not guilty. She was CHARGED and Went to Jail for JURY TAMPERING!! They really need to do this here if it's the case. A good example may prevent such awful stuff in the future. This is really serious for a Juror to do that.
OMG - WHAT??? Arafat is STILL hanging on?
IF the Juror who did his own research actually admitted this to the other Jurors he's too STOOOOOOOPID to be a Juror!!
I'd like to know why this one is in the SBR and the other two that have just been posted are still in the News forum.
I heard this morning that the Judge, IF he needs to grab an alternate, may make a random selection. Both sides Lawyers have a say here. Boy I hope it's not #8!! He was a G, I'm sure of it!! Anyway, Falconer, to know so much, HAD to be talking to Juror #6. In fact, that was made known to Judge Delucchi during Closing Arguments.
That's what they say.
Have you EVER?
However, one freeper pointed out it's kind of fun to hear everyday "Arafat has died".
hehehe
This is exactly the kind of death he deserves... no dignity, no finality, and we get to laugh at his expense! lol

That's encouraging, that they can choose alternates. We only have 3 left, though, right?
I've avoided any program with Justin since the day he was let go. He's a waste of oxygen. His bud, #6 sounds the same.
I wouldn't put it past JoEllan or Justin to still be spinning for Geragos, either.
