Chechens are nice people of the Muslim faith. They are only emigrating here in order to find work and pursue religious freedom. Why do you characterize them as dangerous? Our country was founded on principles that welcomed everyone, including Chechens. Let's try to be a little more tolerant here please. Give the Chechens a chance to contribute to our culture. Allow them to find a place and add to their communities. Not all Chechens are killers. No point making villians of these emigrants. Let's please welcome them, please.

Taking the southern border as the 1st priority, it could be quite secure with less than one percent of the defense budget.

The mosques, Islamic schools, etc., aren't so much border control problems. A lot of the muslims extremists will live here a long time, become citizens, while they are making plans to take over by getting elected into positions in government. I hope its not an all out assault like someone suggested but there are insidious ways that aren't noticed until too late.

I absolutely agree that President Bush has not done enough to secure the borders...but at least he knows we are at war with terrorism...he doesn't think they are just some low life criminals like Kerry does!
The October surprise would be if a huge terrorist attack is foiled by the Bush administration.
You raise a good point here. How could anyone know for sure that these "terrorists" are Chechens, unless we've already captured them. Unless they've been captured, it's just a story we got from somebody in Mexico or the border area of Arizona. It's an implausible story too, because the Chechens don't have a grudge against the U.S. They hate Russia, whereas Al Qaeda hates America. I wouldn't be surpised if this story was made up by a paid informant in Mexico who's trying to earn his money.
