  • Caliphate In Europe: Sweden Cedes Control Of Muslim Areas

Political Correctness: The perils of multiculturalism and open borders have reached critical mass in Sweden. There are Muslim enclaves where postal, fire and other essential services — even police officers themselves —require police protection. A police report released last month identifies 55 of these "no-go zones" in Sweden. These zones are similar to others that have popped up in Europe in recent years. They formed as large Muslim populations emigrating to politically correct and tolerant European states refuse to assimilate and set up virtual states within a state where the authorities fear to tread. Soeren Kern of the Hudson Institute...

Obama spoke with absolute certainty when he claimed that IS is not Islamic. In his speech on September 11 announcing that the US would commence limited operations against Islamic State, US President Barack Obama insisted, “ISIL, [i.e. Islamic State] is not Islamic. No religion condones the killing of innocents, and the vast majority of ISIL’s victims have been Muslim.” To be sure, it is hard to see how any human faith can countenance IS’s actions. For the past several months, on a daily basis, new videos appear of IS fighters proudly, openly and wantonly committing crimes against humanity. This week...

At least 300 ISIL militants were killed and scores of ISIL vehicles captured in clashes between the pershmerga and ISIL militants MOSUL Iraqi Kurdish peshmerga forces are continuing their advance towards Iraq's Mosul province, capturing at least 60 Iraqi villages last month, an Iraqi commander has said. At least 300 ISIL militants were killed and scores of ISIL vehicles captured in clashes between the pershmerga and ISIL militants, according to Colonel Z. Sheikh Vasani, a peshmerga commander on the Mahmur front. "We are fighting with weapons sent by France and Germany. We took control of at least 60 villages around...

Speaking to a mostly white college audience: "“This progress has been hard but it has been steady and it has been real,” Obama said at Northwestern University on Oct. 2. “And it’s the direct result of the American people’s drive and their determination and their resilience, and it’s also the result of sound decisions made by my administration. So it is indisputable that our economy is stronger today than when I took office.” Obama griped to party donors several days later that his accomplishments are a mystery even to his most loyal supporters. “Most of you don’t know the statistics...

Heavily armed Iraqi peshmerga forces have reached the Turkish border and a first group have entered the town of Kobane as they prepare to join fellow Kurds battling the Islamic State group. The group of 10 fighters were to co-ordinate with local Kurdish militia who have been holding off an assault by IS jihadists for six weeks, a monitoring group said. A peshmerga convoy reached the town of Suruc on the Turkish side of the border on Thursday after travelling through southeastern Turkey along roads clogged with flag-waving Kurds, an AFP photographer said. There it linked up with a second...

“The United States administration is planning to throw Israel under the bus,” Jewish Home chairman Naftali Bennett said on Tuesday night, responding to harsh words against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu which were attributed to senior officials in the Obama administration. “Israel is stronger than all those who curse it,” said Bennett, after Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic quoted officials in Washington as having described Netanyahu as “chickens**t”, among other things. “The prime minister is not a private individual, but the leader of the Jewish State and the Jewish world as a whole. Serious curses such as these against the Israeli...

Members of the Iraqi army have torn down the sinister black flag of the Islamic State in Jurf al-Sakhr after forcing the terror group out of the strategically important city. Soldiers removed the extremist group's emblem from a tower and replaced it with the Iraqi national flag in a symbolic gesture that came after days of heavy fighting. The jihadis were forced to retreat from Jurf al-Sakhr and reassemble in the city's suburbs, with the group's leaders confirming a large number of militant deaths at the hands of the regime troops, but urging its fighters to remain in the area...

Elite Army troops have disparaged the fighting capability of Afghan troops to military investigators probing the deaths of five soldiers in a friendly fire incident earlier this year, according to a published report. The Washington Times claims that several Green Berets have described how Afghan soldiers have refused to fight and hidden among trees and behind rocks when coming under fire. The criticisms came to light on the same day that the last unit of U.S. Marines in Afghanistan concluded its combat mission, handing the base known as Camp Leatherneck to Afghan troops. The comments by the Green Berets were...

Kurdish forces retook the northern Iraqi town of Zumar and several nearby villages from Islamic State early on Saturday after heavy coalition air strikes against the Islamist insurgents, security sources said. A Kurdish intelligence officer in Zumar said peshmerga forces had advanced from five directions in the early morning and encountered fierce resistance, but ultimately prevailed. A spokesman for the peshmerga ministry also said Zumar was now in Kurdish hands. Zumar was one of the first Kurdish-controlled towns to be overrun in August by Islamic State militants who went on to threaten the autonomous region's capital, prompting air strikes by...

Iraqi and Peshmerga forces have reportedly wrested key areas of northern and southern Iraq from Isis (Islamic State) militants following 22 US-led air strikes. Kurdish forces said on Saturday that they recaptured several towns and villages held by Isis in the north, while Iraqi government forces said they reclaimed the town of Jurf al-Sakhr, 50km south of Baghdad. The US Central Command said the Iraqi and Kurdish ground forces were backed by several air strikes by US-led forces on Friday and Saturday. The air strikes targeted Isis forces in Mosul in the north, Fallujah in the western Anbar province, and...

At the risk of being presumed rather caustic–especially considering the heinous acts perpetrated against the Copts this past weekend–I offer this tidbit from St. Thomas Aquinas on Islam. On the other hand, those who founded sects committed to erroneous doctrines proceeded in a way that is opposite to this. The point is clear in the case of Mohammed. He seduced the people by promises of carnal pleasure to which the concupiscence of the flesh goads us. His teachings also contain precepts that were in conformity with his promises, and he gave free rein to carnal pleasure. In all this, as...

BasNews, Erbil The first squad of Kurdish Peshmerga forces, heading to Kobani in Syrian Kurdistan via the Turkish border, are expected to arrive on Wednesday. Turkey approved requests to let the Peshmerga enter Kobani on Monday. Kurdistan Peshmerga fighters say that it is the responsibility of the Peshmerga to help and support Kurdish fighters of the People’s Protection Units (YPG), which has been fighting the Islamic State (IS) militants for more than a month. The BasNews source said that the only condition Turkish authorities made was that the Kurdish force should be under the command of the Kurdistan Regional Government...

It’s happened again. For the second time, after I exposed that UNRWA’s Gaza school curricula include many examples of promoting hateful ideas that directly contradict those of the UN and UNRWA themselves, the organization has stealthily removed the evidence without any acknowledgment or apology. My 2012 exposé of how UNRWA schools were teaching hate, martyrdom and jihad to students, with many examples of essays and poems, resulted in UNRWA removing many individual school sites and specific pages and domains from the Internet without any public notice. Now, my latest exposés showing explicit antisemitism and hateful historical lies in the UNRWA...

Editor's Note: This column was coauthored by Bob Morrison. Several years ago, the Israeli satirical series, Latma, produced this funny sketch on the Iranian mullahs’ push for a nuclear bomb. “The bomb, the bomb, I’ll get the bomb. Listen to me, Honey, it ain’t gonna be too long” sings the frolicking mullah in the online version of this humorous look at a most serious subject. The Israelis can joke about an Iranian nuclear bomb because they are on the front line. They know what it would mean. They don’t go on and on about “stability” in the Middle East the...
