On Election Day, the observers will fan out across Washington, Maryland and Virginia to observe presidential election polling places. On the day after the election, the group plans to address the results. . . . The group sponsoring the convention Ravel is speaking to "free and fair" elections around the world. It has advocated especially for women candidates, and with along with the State Department it called for candidate quotas favoring women.

Janet Reno, the first woman to serve as U.S. attorney general and the epicenter of several political storms during the Clinton administration, has died. She was 78. Reno died early Monday from complications of Parkinson’s disease, her goddaughter Gabrielle D’Alemberte said. D’Alemberte said Reno spent her final days at home in Miami surrounded by family and friends. Reno, a former Miami prosecutor who famously told reporters “I don’t do spin,” served nearly eight years as attorney general under President Bill Clinton, the longest stint in a century.

In his last push on behalf of electing Hillary Clinton our next president, President Obama sought to paint her GOP opponent Donald Trump as “other.” “Donald Trump is not a regular guy,” Obama said. “He doesn’t drink the same beer you do. He doesn’t drink any kind of beer or other alcoholic beverage. He may have been a TV star, but all your favorite TV and movie stars hate him. I’m the one they like and I’m telling you to vote for Hillary.” Obama also contrasted “Trump’s money-grubbing career as a billion-dollar real estate tycoon” with “Hillary’s life of public...

Hillary achieved absolutely nothing in her 35 year career except lie through her teeth, elevate herself on fictions and fictional achievements that never happened, and used her lies to gain power and wealth while corrupting EVERYTHING and everyone sh Are Democrats listening to what Hillary tells Them? Hillary said today: I helped start Child Health Insurance. • She “helped” “start” it exactly how? • What did she do to HELP? • What did she do to START it? • What does it mean to help start, rather than do it? • She did not facilitate, establish it into law, or...

With 10 years remaining in its $12 billion road-building program, the Illinois tollway intends to start training workers to help finish the job. The aim is to increase the number of minorities working on tollway projects through a center teaching construction-related skills, officials said at a meeting Wednesday. The program is in the early stages, with diversity department planners still figuring out logistics, including funding. About $400,000 is allocated for 2017, although several tollway board directors advised staff members to budget for more. A 2015 tollway study concluded that blacks, Hispanics and women are underrepresented compared to whites when it...

Weeks of wall-to-wall media coverage of Donald Trump's crude language and alleged misdeeds involving women don't seem to have hurt his standing among female voters, the IBD/TIPP presidential tracking poll shows. That's not to say there isn't a gender gap — there's still a big one. But Trump's support among women has improved 5 points in the past three days in the wake of the FBI's stunning announcement that it is looking into a fresh batch of emails relating to Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server while secretary of state. As of Tuesday, 39% of women said they're...

The divisive presidential campaign between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is putting political rifts between parties and genders on display across the country. There’s some agreement in Montana though, where according to the 30th annual Montana Poll conducted by students and faculty at Montana State University, both men and women prefer Donald Trump. “Trump is ahead of Clinton by 16 points,” said MSU Polling Director Dr. Nisha Bellinger said. “We have Trump at 43 percent and Clinton 27 percent. 37 percent of the females favor Trump as compared to 33 percent of females who favor Clinton. Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton... suggested during the third presidential debate that China had already ended the practice of forced abortion. On Wednesday evening, Clinton defended abortion rights and reiterated her promise to appoint Supreme Court justices who lean on the pro-choice side. The Democrat also said she has "been to countries where governments either forced women to have abortions, like they used to do in China." "With all her experience as former Secretary of State, it is untrue and deeply disappointing for Hillary Clinton to put the Chinese government's practice of forced abortion in the past," said Littlejohn in...
