The Ninth Circuit Court has upheld the ruling of the lower court in the Edward Peruta v. County of San Diego case and affirmed the Second Amendment does not include a right to conceal a firearm. The Peruta case challenged the legality of denying permits to conceal and carry a firearm unless the applicant for a permit has "good reason" to do so. A three-judge panel initially ruled that the San Diego County Sheriff's Department did not have the right to deny the permit. Despite a recent court order, Washington, D.C., is still refusing to issue concealed-carry permits to its residents, according to Devin Watkins, who attempted to obtain a permit last week. Watkins, a columnist at the federalist.com, wrote that when he went to apply for the permit, police officers at the station told him they had been ordered by D.C.'s attorney general to ignore the court order and continue to deny applications.

Donald Trump moved closer to clinching the Republican presidential nomination Tuesday by winning the Washington primary. With 68% of the vote in, Trump had 76% support, with the rest going to former rivals who have since departed the GOP contest.

Hillary Clinton won the Democratic primary in Washington state Tuesday, though she technically got no closer to becoming the party’s 2016 presidential nominee. With 74 percent of the vote counted, the former first lady had 54 percent of the vote, to rival Sen. Bernard Sanders’ 46 percent. Sill, Mrs. Clinton remains on track to reach the needed 2,383 delegates, having 2,305 to Mr. Sanders’ 1,539 with hundreds at stake in California and four other states wrap up the 2016 presidential primaries on June 7.

All of the suspects carrying the suitcases full of cash were on welfare.
