PASCO — Donald Trump has all but sewn up the GOP presidential nomination. But as thousands of Washington Republicans converged on a rodeo arena for their state convention over the weekend, the gathering didn’t look like a political party yet united behind a Trump-led ticket.
Red Ted Cruz T-shirts outnumbered Trump ball caps on the convention floor at the TRAC Center, and supporters of the Texas senator won 40 of the 41 elected delegate slots for the Republican National Convention in Cleveland this summer — even though Cruz has dropped out of the race.

Amid talk of Republican unity, pockets of the “Never Trump” movement remained on the convention floor. The Cruz supporters said they won’t unite behind a man they view as unprincipled and dangerous.
Steven Wilson, a delegate from Normandy Park wearing a star-spangled cowboy hat, said he will write someone in on the November ballot rather than vote for Trump, whom he described as a narcissist “who’s flip-flopped so many times you don’t know whether you can trust him.”
Standing next to him, Alex Binz, a teacher from Kirkland, said he is worried enough about Trump’s “fascist” streak to actually vote for Hillary Clinton. “God help me,” he said, rolling his eyes and leaning backward at the previously unthinkable prospect.
At least with Clinton, Binz said, you’d know what you are getting. “One of them is crazy in an expected way. The other is crazy in a totally unexpected and totalitarian way.”

Guess they didn’t get word that Cruz LOST and suspended his campaign. Heck, he went to Mexico. Washington GOP needs to get on board with Trump, the winner. Anything less only helps Clinton.
The media will always find the lone clown in the crowd and present them as the majority.
Amazing that most of these delegates will believe what the MSM tells them on Trump and are too lazy to do their own research.
The Cruz supporters said they won’t unite behind a man they view as unprincipled and dangerous, as they united behind a man that is unprincipled and dangerous.
These Cruz supporters are DEMOCRATS, by action.
TransRepublicans, who self-identify as DEMOCRATS. You can find them in a corner in the women's room, soiling themselves over the ascendancy of Trump.
Definite pattern: When the voters are allowed to vote, it is Trump. If not, party wonks, chosen early for the purpose of denying voters a choice, still go for Cruz. Those people are insane.
Cruz would get slaughtered in WA if he was in the General.
Other than eastern WA, its a mix of older Hillary feminists, crazy Bernie snowflakes and a large amount of lefty-anarchists.
Please be gone....for good. Cannot stand seeing or hearing this guy speak.
Here is one of MANY examples, where Cruz and his supporters have not accepted his defeat, have not stood down, and continue to make mischief. Principled Conservative, any kind of conservative, my foot. These people are so delusion that they’d prefer Clinton as second choice to Canadian Lyn’ Ted. Incredible.

If this is what “principled conservative” means, count me out! These people are as nutty as Sanders supporters.
Delegates are bound on the first ballot and Trump is going to win Washington state big time on Tuesday.
